Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The property is well named. It is beautifully bright and a perfect size for 2 people. The kitchen is very well equipped including dishwasher and washing machine. Our host, Amanda, left a welcome basket of Prosecco, local beer crisps and chocolate. A really lovely touch. She also recommended a local hairdresser to me. Fabulous place to stay.

United KingdomJust a minor point which didn't detract from our stay, but a selection of smaller glassware to go with the wine glasses and large tumblers would have been useful.
Little Bright House is in the perfect location, 5/10 minutes walk to Tankerton slopes and shops, and about 20/25 minutes walk to Whitstable Harbour (depending on which route you go). It's situated on a very quiet street with the bonus of private parking (more than big enough for a 4x4 of Jaguar F Pace proportions). We loved the decor, the patio was a sun trap and so relaxing after a day out, the bed/pillows were very comfortable. There were some lovely goodies to welcome us on our arrival and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Communication from Amanda was excellent, before, during and after our stay. Really not much more to say, other than I would highly recommend it.

United Kingdom-
Beautifully designed, spotlessly maintained, and thoughtfully equipped, the place is peaceful and offers plenty of outdoor space to relax and unwind. Everything felt so fresh and pristine — it was as if we were the very first guests. The location couldn’t be better, with an easy walk to both Tankerton and Whitstable. Amanda was a truly outstanding host — warm, responsive, and incredibly thoughtful. No1 Whitstable, Basil & Co. and Grain & Hearth Bakery are absolute must-visits!

United KingdomThis was our second visit to Little Bright House and it won't be our last. It's clean and cosy and perfect for a couple. The prosecco, beer, crisps and chocolate left for us on arrival was a lovely touch. It's near enough to both Whitstable and Tankerton to be an easy 5-10 minute stroll to both. It's also only 5-10 minutes' walk to the railway station as well, which is great if you want to explore some of Kent's other resorts. Off-street parking is another bonus, especially as we didn't need to use our car all week! Finally, the property manager Amanda was great at keeping in touch with us before, during and after our stay.

United KingdomNothing, all good.
The property was immaculate and a very good size, bright and airy and with good outside space. All the facilities were excellent and everything worked very well. Communication from the host was good and the pack provided at the property contained lots of good information ensuring that our stay was fantastic. Whitstable is an excellent destination in its own right. The property is a 10 minute stroll to Tankerton Road for shops, cafes and busses, and only 15 minutes to the harbour area where there is a wealth of shops, restaurants, cafes, harbourside and waterfront walks. The town and harbour area retains a lot of its character and was a pleasure to spend time strolling and people watching, and occasional beverage. The location is also great for exploring other places in Kent and is only a short distance from Canterbury. Would I go back - definitely 😀😎

United KingdomNo complaints although, I did feel that the price was high probably due to my booking covering the Christmas holiday.
Modern design, clean contemporary decor, all latest fixtures in the kitchen and bathroom. Particularly liked the feeling of privacy.
