Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn’t like.
We chose this hotel as a family of 3 attending Wembley for a concert and to also spend time in central London. The location was just perfect with Swiss Cottage Tube (jubilee line) being a short walk away. Day one we darted into Covent Garden, Day 2 Oxford /Regent St area then Wembley in the afternoon. Day 3 a short walk to Primrose Hill and Regent’s Park then to Paddington to catch our train. The hotel itself was very nice indeed, nicer than I was expecting, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Nice toiletries too!

SwitzerlandSwimming pool still has private lessons everyday 9-2. The private lessons for two kids take away 1/3 of a tiny pool. This has been the case for many years and I never understand why - my kids learned at the minimal opposite??

NetherlandsAir con was very loud! Brasserie food was nice but pricey for what it was. Bit of a walk to things like cafes - felt like it was in more of a residential area.
Room was very nice, clean etc as to be expected of a major hotel chain. We had a late departure and they kept our baggage for free which was nice. Liked the decor also in the room and lobby area.

IsraelDespite the excellent service, several aspects of the hotel’s facilities detracted from our comfort. The ground-floor restaurant focuses on seafood, which creates a strong fish odor that permeates the lobby - unpleasant for those who aren’t fans of fish. As I was traveling for work, I hoped for a quiet workspace, but aside from the lobby (which had both the odor and mosquitoes), there was no suitable area to work. Our room had a shower rather than a bathtub, which was excellent, but the shower and toilet showed yellowing, suggesting a lack of proper cleaning products. We were offered to switch rooms multiple times due to weak air conditioning, which the hotel attributed to a heatwave, though it seemed more likely due to outdated and dirty systems. The replacement rooms and provided fans didn’t resolve the issue. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, possibly due to our room’s location, and only after contacting reception were we given access to an alternative network. These facility shortcomings impacted our overall experience, though the staff’s efforts to assist were truly commendable.
Our stay at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park was marked by exceptional service and cleanliness. The staff at reception were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always eager to help with a personal and caring approach. The hotel’s location is a major advantage - just a 5-minute walk from the Jubilee (Gray) Line, which connects quickly to central London and intersects with other key Underground lines. The surrounding neighborhood is charming, with a kiosk and a variety of restaurants and a food market within a 15-minute walk. A nearby park offering panoramic views of the city added a special touch to our visit. The hotel pool, open all day, was a great way to start or unwind after a busy day. Most impressively, the staff consistently went above and beyond to resolve any issues, even offering compensation when solutions weren’t possible. Their dedication left us with a very positive impression and a genuine desire to return in the future.

United KingdomPool and changing rooms tired and dated. Lockers hard to use and changing rooms don't lead direct to the pool and involve steps.
Friendly helpful reception and leisure centre staff. There was an issue with my bathroom (smell) but it was quickly sorted with a fast change of room. No quibbles. Comfy bed and fab shower and toiletries. Great air-conditioning. Very convenient location.

Ireland£20 for three coffees was a bit steep. The brandy barely wet the bottom of the glass. One doesn't expect Spanish measures, but really! The beer menu was all foreign beers plus Guinness. A couple of British real ales would have helped.
The room was big, enough space for two couples and very comfortable beds. The ground floor was handsome and had many nooks and crannies. The food, though priced for this inner North London area, was good.

SwitzerlandIt needs a bit of tlc. Some upgrades and a paint. We also booked the hotel as it has a pool which is great for our kids and then réalised that you can’t use it over the weekends because of swimming schools. Understandable, but just a pity.
Location was great for the cricket and the room sizes were excellent.

IndiaThey charge for room service every time. Even if we wanted a small thing we had to go to the reception to get it which became annoying because we had 2 young kids with us.
The location was beautiful. Plus the distance from the tube is also walkable. Supermarkets are also very close to the property.

United KingdomRoom cleaning was very late and we walked in on them at 6pm. Pool was not supervised so children were jumping in and splashing despite signposts away from this. Room was a little cold but could not operate the air con to make lower - possibly user error! Ice machine not working but no sign on it.
