The staff is lifeless or they are all trainees. The bathroom is uncomfortable, it does not justify the room price.

Very nice town, excellent bakery across the street and beautiful surroundings. The hotel building is also lovely and properly conserved.

Parking not so easy. Bathroom light didn’t work and couldn’t be replaced. In fairness the staff gave us a refund for breakfast because of the inconvenience.

Well located not far from Inverness and on main roads. Room was comfortable enough but tired looking. A fair price I suppose given that rooms in Inverness are at a premium at this time of year. Breakfast was good.

The hotel is very traditional, furniture a bit dated. When we entered our room it looked like it needed a hoover , there was debris on the floor. We were using the shelving on the TV unit for clothes, I gave it the finger swipe and it was dusty 😕. There was dust in other areas. The beds were clean but the mattresses were just too firm for us , I woke up aching.

The location was fabulous as we were attending The Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival and the shuttle bus ran from Beauly square which was a short walk from the hotel.

While the food in the restaurant was ok and the portions were fairly large, it was a bit pricey for what it was. If, like me, you cannot eat fish, the dinner menu is a bit limited but that seems to be the same throughout the area. The restaurant was part of the bar and was segregated by a wall from the pool table etc but there was quite a bit of noise. It would have been better if they had served dinner in the breakfast area as this was not used at all apart from first thing in the morning.

This was booked at the last minute due to a sudden illness of one of the party not being able to stick to the original itinerary. The staff were all very friendly and the cost of the 3 nights b and b was reasonable. We were given a ground floor room in an annexe and it was comfortable. There was a kitchen type room in this annexe which was set aside for eating if you wanted to bring something in rather than eating in the restaurant which was unusual. We had breakfast in the main building and the cooked breakfast was very large. You had the choice of porridge, eggs etc if you didn’t want the full Scottish. I did feel though that they could have done with an option of cheese, cold meats and fruit but the manager did say that they had not long taken oven the hotel and were still learning what they needed to change. The hotel is in an area that lets you tour about the Black Isle and beyond up to Tain etc without driving about too much,

My room was on the 3rd floor & there's no lift. Hard on my knees. The manager was great carrying my luggage down the stairs & kindly gave me a refund when I couldn't have breakfast.

The room we booked with Booking.com was not the room we were offered. The choices were large room with bath or small room with shower. We booked large room with bath but were offered small room with shower when we arrived at the hotel. Booking.com had sent the incorrect information to the hotel. The Manager of the hotel was, in this instance, able to rectify the problem and we eventually were given a satisfactory room.
