Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomVery nice property which was just as it has been described in the previous reviews. It is in quite a rough building on the outside however on the inside it is comfortable, clean and just as it looks in the photo's. The best thing about the property is the location, it is a short walk from the train station where you can easily visit Sterling/Edinburgh etc. Bridge of Allen is also a lovely, friendly town with an abundance of coffee shops as well as several nice bars and restaurants. A great place to stay to explore Scotland

United KingdomA rubber mat in the shower would be helpful, and a pan and brush or carpet sweeper (my children dropped lots of crumbs around the table area which I works have liked to have cleared up! Also, the bunk bed steps are quite unsafe as the metal at the top on one side is bent and doesn’t hook over the ledge at all. All the bolts need tightening up - it was very wobbly!
Brilliantly convenient - we walked to the station and went into Edinburgh, we spent a day at Blair Drummond - both days so easily accessible from the flat. We loved the sofas and mattresses - all very comfy and we slept well.

United KingdomNothing! Don't judge a book by its cover - the property is located in a block of flats built probably in the 80/90s, not the prettiest building, but that's not so important when everything else is first rate!
Great location, just a five minute walk from the town, quiet, parking was great! The property was well equipped, comfortable and warm! Access was simple and straightforward!

United KingdomThe keylock box was broken and the correct number is only just visible so requires attention/replacing. The lighting in the stairwell was not working properly, some lights worked and some not & it was very dark which was a concern from a health & safety point of view.
The location was perfect for our needs while in Bridge of Allan. Close to Railway Station restaurants and shops. The apartment was exactly as shown/described on line. It was very comfortable, clean, the shower was excellent and the kitchen was well equipped apart from no corkscrew! We enjoyed the African decoration!

United KingdomNothing really. The outside doesn’t look great but the flat inside is lovely. Don’t be put off by the exterior.
The flat is in a great location. So handy for the high street and train station.

United KingdomJust a couple of things: Welcome book with explanation of what the local refuse collection bins are for & what recycling goes into what bin. I noted day before departure that food waste is collected - this is not collected in the part of the UK where I live - Brown bins are for garden waste. TV doesn't appear to be tuned into terrestrial TV - just streaming services.
Location was excellent for a family break but I did know the location before I booked as I know the area extremely well. It is well positioned for a 5 minute walk into Bridge of Allan and for visiting Stirling, Perthshire and the Trossachs. It is only a short walk away from a railway station where you can access Edinburgh, Perth etc. Flat was as described and as per photographs. Hosts could be messaged and responded within 24 hours - approximately one week before arrival they provided relevant information on how to access the property. Property was on the top floor which only has stair access so wouldn't be suitable for potential guests with mobility issues. Flat was more than comfortable for the duration of our stay

New ZealandOur initial impression on arrival to the location of the apartment and the lack of lighting in the stairwell was a concern but once we opened the door to the beautiful apartment our fears quickly diminished.
The interior was very nice and the apartment was very cosy and welcoming. The facilities were very good with everything we needed at hand. The apartment is a 5 minute walk to the train station which allowed us to travel into Edinburgh avoiding the stress of parking.

United KingdomThe side bath panel was warped, exposing gaps in the sealent along it. The shower door rubber seal at its base, did not reach down to the side of the bath. So when showering, water, pooled onto the bathroom floor.
Great location for our requirements. Spotlessley clean/tidy.

United KingdomThe location wasn't the best in terms of tidiness and the stairs going up to the flat were quite grubby but I doubt that can be resolved as you'd need the cooperation of neighbours for that.
Super clean and comfy apartment which was very cosy and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Walking distance to the university as we were there for my son's graduation and just a 5 min car trip into Stirling. So much storage and many other wee extras. Plenty car parking. Very silent..
