How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The apartment was 28 degrees for the duration of our stay. Despite using the fans and coolers provided, we couldn't lower the temperature. It was only an issue because of the warm weather though!
Lovely apartment. Good storage and everything was clean. Bed linen was provided for the sofa bed should we have needed it. Kitchen was well equipped. Check in was very easy.

The air conditioning system was not working and the apartment was very hot from inside as the inside temperature was 28 degrees.
The surroundings were nice and highly accessible to local amenities

There is a significant need for air conditioning with the summer heat, the fans and a/c were not enough to keep the space comfortable.
Location was great. Ease of entrance and communication was good.

The heat!! I know it was a hot week in London but the rooms never got below 30 degrees, only 1 fan is not enough! The pillows were rubbish and no pillow cases on spare pillows. One small bath towel per person was not enough, not even a tea towel!
The location was good, 10 mins to the river, 10 mins to Westminster Abbey. Fully wheelchair accessible, which is unusual for London. Linen was clean. Kitchen is well stocked.

The apartment was really hot at night couldn’t sleep and couldn’t open one of the bedroom windows for a bit of air. Could do with some air con especially in the summer. Apart from that it was a lovely stay the location was perfect and the apartment blocks were very clean and quiet

Though the kitchen was well appointed, the cookware was minimal, old and you could not use either of the frying pans because of the scratched and damaged coatings. No tea towel, just J cloths so could not dry the dishes. Some of the cupboards didn't close well and the extractor above the cooker was dirty and did not seem to work. Generally looking like it needed a bit of fixing up. Window blinds will rattle noisily against the walls unless you are careful to rest the bases of the blinds on the windowsills or raise completely. Just small things - in general, I was impressed.
Really secure, spacious, light and comfortable flat, two double bedrooms one with ensuite. Big kitchen / living room / diner with big window wall the length of the room. Nicely furnished (if you like everything in grey). Very quiet. 2 metal gates and a security door to get into the building. Peaceful residential area in a good part of town close to the centre. Good for Tate Britain, Chelsea, Victoria areas. Top quality Miele appliances in kitchen including washing machine, dishwasher, waste disposal and microwave, cooker of course although hob looking a little worn. Lovely bathrooms., the fancy lighting controls are unusual, and to me, logic defying!

The sofa bed in the room was large but not too comfy, but as we were shattered at the end of long days we slept fine.

It would be much improved if there was a welcome pack explaining how everything works. The bathroom sink had no plug hole trap so things could fall down. The TV did not work and we couldn’t get the jobs on the cooker to work.

The outdoor was complicate to get locked but we managed with it. Frypan was quite a lot used. Otherwise everything was perfect.
The location was perfect. There were many restaurants, pubs and shops near the accommodation. There were also many sights nearby you can walk.

Comfortable, clean , perfect for our short stay with kids. Walking distance to some main attractions and 5 mins from Pilmico Station. Main door was a little tricky to lock. Instructions to get to apartment were excellent as it is a little hidden from Main Street.
