Good for a short stay with comfy beds, though the bathroom and breakfast need improvement.

The room was spacious enough, but the bathroom felt too small for its size. You really need to keep the door closed, as if someone else is inside it becomes difficult to move – there isn’t much space for your things either. Breakfast was disappointing: the scrambled eggs were watery, and the sausages and bacon were very dry. Overall, it’s not a bad hotel, but it definitely needs more attention to detail, especially with the food and bathroom layout.

We stayed for two nights at the Aviemore Hotel. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and although the hotel was busy with people attending the Thunder in the Glens, the room itself was quiet at night with no noise coming through the windows.

It was all pretty much as expected, the common areas weren't as well maintained as the room was. It would have been great to have a small fridge in the room, but really we can't complain, it was a very pleasant stay.

The pool was outstanding. The room seemed to have been recently updated and was very comfortable. It was a family room with bunk beds slightly separated from the main bed which was excellent. It was super clean. The breakfast was great, very good range of options. It was also close to town, very easy to walk for groceries or dinner.

Fish restaurant was dirty, and only place to have a drink at night if you didn't want to go to the mini disco or to the other hotels.

The hotel was just ok and is looking very tired and beds were uncomfortable. It could use some renovation.

Location was brilliant just off the Main Street in Aviemore and opposite the train station. Easy walk to restaurants and shops/supermarkets. Great facilities for family (pool, soft play, shops).

Bedroom was fine. Pillows were really too soft with no shape. Felt bathroom overall could have been cleaner and brighter.

Bed was comfy but pillows were not. Breakfast was lovely. Had dinner in Highland Aspects which was amazing! Service was exceptional and food excellent.

Breakfast was cold for three and fourth 20 minutes wait for scrambled eggs and then no bacon. I had to report 3 jugs of milk sour and had to wait for replacement. Embarrassing as had guests from Canada with us. No bar in this hotel.

Location and large, well equipped room.

On booking we were given a room that only a mountain goat could use. This despite the fact the hotel was told on booking that my wife was disabled.

Breakfast was Good. Eventually the room was ok but dated.

Breakfast for 4 star hotel was about the worst breakfast I've ever had in any hotel I've stayed in. Potato scones were over cooked, hard. Sausages weren't cooked enough and bacon was well over cooked, as in hard. Mushrooms were cold. For 4 star wasn't great at all for price. Like a 2 star breakfast. Staff were quiet, flat. Expect a little more welcoming from a hotel. How hard can it be for the chef to make breakfast.

The room we were in was tired , broken bath , not cleaned when we were there , the food in the Italian restaurant was Luke warm border line cold . The kids were not given half board and had to pay . I assumed we were all half board ! There was a lot of missed information . I realised pretty quickly on we were paying for location and facilities of hotel . The staff looked tired and fed up , and when the chef walked in and out putting food down at breakfast with love bites all over his neck that was the final straw for us I am afraid .

The facilities were great but the 4 star rating must come from the facilities only as the actual cleanliness of the place was in between . I would say we paid a lot for what we got .

The hotel is a bit dated and brown. Perhaps some proper chairs for sitting out would be nice. Picnic style table and benches were good but not comfy if you sit for a long period of time.

Good location right in the middle of Aviemore. Bedding and towels clean. Plenty of outside space to sit in this lovely weather. Breakfast was good lots to choose from.

Friendly staff on the whole. Room was clean.
