    Great stay, in beautiful location.

    • Compact Single Room

While some services were nicely included (like some tea and coffe in the room), others that I'd expected to be included had to be paid (like temporary luggage storage)

The breakfast was great and the room beautifully decorated. The service was exceptional, very friendly and helpfull.

Incredibly small bathroom - much smaller than a normal en-suite bathroom. The £5 charge to store you bag after checkout - I travel extensively both in and outside of the UK and I’ve never experienced

Good location close to the theatre. Reception staff very friendly and offered a complementary upgrade on arrival. It was a nice touch to have fresh milk for tea/coffee in the room.

A minor point...It was a bit busy with the SCADA conference people at check-in, which took a bit longer than we'd thought, given that we'd already checked in on line.

The beautiful building & its location. The size of the bedroom with an excellent shower & comfy bed. The efficient, friendly & capable bar staff. The bar meal, which was so tasty. The reserved parking slot.

There is really nothing bad about this place. It is convenient, cozy and clean, you cannot go wrong.

We stay here everytime we go to see our daughter who studies at Charterhouse School. The premises are well looked after and clean, the whole place is very well maintained and conveniently located near the town center, just walking distance from nice restaurants, pubs and shops. A big plus is the parking onsite (needs reservation). The bar is really nice and the food is good too. The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful.

The whole left luggage situation is annoying. Having to pay 5 pound to store luggage --this is the only time this has happened to us in all our travels all over the world. Shame as it's a nice hotel, but this would be enough to put me off staying there again.

Nice hotel in a convenient position to London Road station. Reception staff were excellent. The mini bar was very nice and the aircon a bonus.

Despite being told our room was ready, we weren't allowed to check in to it unless we paid for an early check in. Check in was also very late (I think it was 3PM which is later than most). If the room is sitting there ready - why not just let us check in?! This feels like profiteering and did not make me feel valued as a guest. We had to put our bags back in the car and wait another hour or so to check in to our room which had already been turned over and was just sitting there empty and ready. Greedy from the hotel! Parking was super expensive - again, this feels like profiteering. If I am a guest who has already paid to stay with you, why are you charging large amounts of money for me to park on your land?!

Amazing room and great facilities Lovely bar and restaurant Super friendly staff Very clean and well decorated - everything feels very nice! Great location and proximity to town. One of the nicest UK hotels I have stayed in. Slick check in/check out process. Great facilities in the room - tea/coffee station etc Nice bathroom/shower with high end toiletries. Quiet room Really good aircon in our room which was a godsend! Our second stay here and we will definitely stay again.

Would have preferred a room with walk in shower. Fridge not available in room which was disappointing considering the price paid. Room was for three but coffee/biscuits were only for two.

Room was airy and met basic needs. Breakfast was well presented with good choice and friendly staff. Location near town suited our needs. Made my daughter feel special as we celebrated her graduation.
