We stayed in room 11 and the en-suite was huge but there was a strange smell in there. Also outside the patio doors would benefit from clearing weeds and maybe some paving.

It was very clean and comfortable and the staff were really friendly

We had a great experience in this hotel. This place has a charming atmosphere - a unique combination of a rich history of the island, a modern comfort, amazing works of talented local artists and infinite kindness of members of staff. Our room was clean and neat with a spectacular view of the bay. The mattresses on the beds were really comfortable and we had a good rest. The room also had a big wardrobe with a safebox inside, nightstands and table with drawers- so lots of storage space. Also there were a kettle and tea/coffee to enjoy small breaks. The staff are always available, kind and helpful. The restaurant serves delicious meals. There are also tables outside where you can eat your own food. It’s possible to leave the luggage downstairs before check-in and after check-out hours that is really helpful. We’re grateful to amazing people of the Manor House who helped to make our staying on the island special and unforgettable.

It’s not about disliking it and although staff were great, there was something missing. Even I can’t pinpoint it exactly.

Nothing major! Food portions huge so reduced intake to one course!! As dinner is served early it would be better to have breakfast earlier than 8.49, but in practice good for me by avoiding the unhealthy fried options

Location is stunning staff are friendly and helpful and the accommodation is beautiful. If you want to get away from fast paced life and get closer to nature then you will struggle to find better this is our happy place 😁

Fabulous family run hotel. Staff were fantastic. Food was delicious and I had a room overlooking the sea. Right beside the ferry and the bus to the Bird sanctuary.

I was in a single room on the first floor without an en-suite. Subsequently, due to the design of the building, it was a fair trek to use the toilet on the ground floor and I was unable to have a shower. That said, I was only there for one night, so that was a minor inconvenience and it did not detract from my stay.

I was greeted warmly on arrival and checked in very efficiently. I ate in the restaurant that evening and thoroughly enjoyed my choice from the menu. I had a cosy single room with a lovely sea view, and I loved listening to the sound of the sea and seabirds as I drifted off to sleep. Breakfast was really tasty and substantial and the service was excellent. All-in-all this overnight stay was very pleasant and I shall definitely return.

The lunch menu is good but the organisation of ordering, and serving is chaotic and guests are expected to know how it operates without being told. One has to go to the bar, ask for a menu, choose, pay and ask to be seated, in that order, or you'll be forgotten.

Food, ability to enjoy all the wildlife including the RSPB vital success supporting wildlife.
