Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Carpet in common area looked a bit old/dirty but it’s probably lot of people walking with shoes on. I was almost not happy but when I went inside room it was all good again. Heating was on and comfortable matress. Great location. Had a good experience.

The TV was ok but unable to get sound on one channel. But I'm being picky.
Very good location for the town and train station. The room was very clean if a little old fashioned, but I didn't mind that as the bed was very comfortable. It was also peaceful, no slamming doors or people chatting in the corridor, I guess because it was a small hotel.

It would have been nice if the bins were emptied on a daily basis . Also the rooms to be freshen up daily .
The property was a little dated .The room was a nice size with adequate ensuite with electric shower . We stayed for the week and found the area ideal. There are few pubs and take aways within easy walk. Good parking at the front of the property. A little kitchen with all equipment if required. If working in the area would definitely stay again

The room overlooks the railway (but being so close to the station is advantageous if you want to travel by train). No soundproofing but I didn’t hear trains during the night.
The single room was a bit bigger than I expected and had a double bed and desk/chair. The en-suite was small but the shower worked well. Towels and bedding were comfortable and the room was very clean. Decor as expected for a property of this age. Nice places to eat in Keynsham and the park is lovely.

There was no WiFi provided by the place itself, but they did arrange for me to piggyback internet from one of the longer term guests 2 floors below me.

I was right on the top floor and so I wasn't sure how I would get out if there was a fire. The bedroom doors are very close together and if felt very cramped. Saying that, I wasn't bothered by any other guests and there wasn't any noise form adjoining rooms, which did surprise me. The extractor fan in my bathroom was very noisy and I felt reluctant to use the shower too early in casde I woke up the next room
the room was comfy.The bed linen was super fresh and clean and there was a good supply of tea and coffee. The decoration of the property is a little tired, however. overall, the room was good value for money

The bed was a little bit big for the room. Getting rid of the wooden bed end would prevent banging into it when accessing the bathroom

Easily commutable between bristol and bath. Spotless and sufficient rooms with comfortable bed. simple check in and check out procedure. No noise issues either considering position.

No wifi info, but we hot spotted in the end which also worked, so not a huge issue.(we also forgot to ask)
I liked the flexibility around the check in time. Due to rail strikes we came a bit late but they were happy to accommodate that! The staff (Neil) were so nice! you are a legend.

The bed was too low to sit on. The chair couldn't be moved due to limited space . My room wasn't serviced, not replenished with teabags or milk, so not hot drink on the second morning. No staff available to ask for supplies. Tried ringing the bell but didn't get a response.
There was no breakfast. Despite being advertised as a B&B. Location was ideal for my purposes Room was clean and tidy

Nothing to dislike.
Super location near the station with great train service to Bristol or Bath. Run by a lovely family. Comfortable at sensible price and although circumstances meant they were unable to run a breakfast service it was not a big deal with all the town facilities on the doorstep. Handy parking on site.
