When I arrived at the cottage late in the evening, I discovered it hadn't been cleaned yet. Not exactly what you want after a long day of travel! I messaged the host through the app, and wow - her response was incredible. She got back to me right away with such a genuine, heartfelt apology. Turns out the housekeeper had missed it on the calendar (these things happen!). But here's the amazing part - she actually offered to drive over 100 miles herself that same night to clean the place personally. I couldn't let her do that, but the fact that she was willing to shows just how much she cares. She promised to sort everything out the next day, and she absolutely delivered on that promise. But she didn't stop there - she offered me a refund for the inconvenience, invited me to stay an extra night, and even gave me some lovely gift hampers. Honestly, mistakes happen, but it's how someone handles them that shows their true character. This host went above and beyond to make things right. Her kindness and dedication to her guests really impressed me. I'd definitely stay here again!

Well equipped and comfortable holiday house. Beds were comfy, everything worked, hot shower and great WiFi. Perfect for a base for a couple of nights.

Lots of empty cupboards in the kitchen - a few more kitchen staples (e.g. more implements for cooking), and a teapot would have been nice. The sitting room was a little stark and would benefit from new furniture.

Practical house for guests with outdoor pursuits, with plenty of space especially in the good-sized kitchen. Nice cosy bedrooms. Lovely location in quiet village, car parking directly outside, and the only pub (& server of a good meal!) for miles around was a big plus.

I wasn't very proficient on the cooker convection.

Good size property, clean and plenty of facilities; dinning area, outside table and chairs. Great location and beautiful scenery on the doorstep. Friendly neighbours and charming atmosphere.

There's limited phone reception, however, the WiFi in the property was great.

The cottage was cosy, welcoming and had everything we needed. The owners were fab and just at the end of the phone if we needed anything. Gave us lots of great info about the surrounding area and places to visit.

Stairs quite slippy - maybe get some treads?

Loved the location easy to drive to other locations - has a lovely pub across the road. Bed comfortable. Large kitchen and great sitting area. Loved that we were able to take our two small dogs (not allowed upstairs ✔️). Large memory mattress bed. Heating great.

WiFi was not working when we were there. Host told us that was an issue with the provider. No problem for us as we had good network connection.

Very nice cottage in a quiet environment. Superb Pub/Restaurant just 20 metres away. About 45min from Oban and the same distance to Castle Inveraray. Other nice sites nearby. Very helpful Host, fast reply.

The toilet is from a different era and had periodic problems flushing.

Nothing, it was all excellent

Gorgeous cottage, comfy, cosy and easy to find. Owner was very quick to reply and was helpful. Sent lots of info before arrival too. The food in the horseshoe inn across the road is amazing, if you want a break from cooking yourself. Perfect location for exploring kilmartin area. We loved our stay here.

Nothing. Thr cottage was excellent and we had all we needed as a base. It was also well furnished and equipped as we cooked some amazing meals while we were there.

The location was brilliant as we wanted to take our grandchildren to the Kilmartin Cists.

It was pretty well appointed but a couple of games or maybe a deck of cards or something might be a nice additional touch for those rainy days. But really that is just asking for extra icing on the cake!

This is a lovely little cottage in a quiet and scenic part of the world. Everything you would want is right on the doorstep for walking, stone circles, old castles and miles and miles of unspoilt countryside

shower tripped out, but understandable with it being an old building. stairs a bit wobbly, but owner said would look into this.
