Breakfast staff too reactive not proactive… tables not fully laid in dog lounge..slow to respond.. Outside furniture a little in need of tlc and the big green object which dominates the sitting area has a very tired cover. No bar service on the terrace.

Price of beer (£7 for 300ml can). That our stay was so short (only a week).

On so many counts, the Meudon exceeded our expectations. Location is beautiful with gardens reaching their own private cove and beach. Food was excellent although the menu was a little limited for me (fish 🤮). Room with balcony overlooking gardens was very comfortable with king-size bed. The staff? Wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. For example, we arrived at 9:50am (left home at 4:30am to avoid traffic) and obviously our room was not ready - Abbie told us to go and have breakfast downstairs (no charge) and enjoy the gardens and beach until the room was ready. Fab welcome. So big thanks to Abbie, Jack (thanks for the steak 😉), Alex, x 2, Lucy, Will, Tiana, Alice, Darcy, Christian, George, Rachel, Yasmin, Chris, Scott, Tina, Amelia and anyone else we have shamefully omitted.

Some issues with food supplies to the restaurant for the evening meal which led to a lengthy wait and staff not being clear of the situation. Breakfast the following day was fine so probably an isolated incident.

Beautiful gardens with snack hut at the bottom leading onto the beach. Location central to a number of nearby gardens and NT properties. Great retro styled rooms with nice balcony / terraces.

The road in and out of the hotel was narrow and one had to frequently back up for on-comming vehicles. There was not enough parking om the enclosed site of all the guests there during our stay. You were continually fighting to get a parking space near to the hotel or anywhere else. Room was noisy and we had someone tramping about on our ceiling all ther time we were in our room except for a few hours in the night.

The situation of the hotel in its own private garden with private beach was marvalous. Breakfast was very good, as was the Hotel restaurant. Restaurant prices were very high for what was on offer though.

Would have liked a simple bar menu giving good basic food at a cheaper price than full dinner.

Comfortable bed. Quiet. Superb garden and walk down to a fantastic beach. Enjoyed a fab pizza in the cove. The more experienced young lady waiting was a joy - always smiling, chatting and helpful. Some of the younger staff could learn from her! Breakfast was fantastic.

Extremely noisy extractor fan in bathroom which never turned off. The noise reduced after 45 minutes but was never silent. A continual humming. I asked for it to be looked at on Day One but with no success. No walk in shower. Efficient shower over bath but being an older couple we found this disappointing.
