Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only fault we had was the bed was a little hard for us oldies 😆
Location was really good for us as we both drive. Stayed 2 nights bed and breakfast and both enjoyed our stay. The room was great, really clean and had everything you needed. Loads of storage for your belongings, hairdryer, shower gel, towels, kettle with tea and coffee, even had a fan if it was too warm 😊 Breakfast was so good. Cooked breakfast, chopped fruit, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereal, toast and tea or coffee 😊

United KingdomPart of a wedding party sat outside talking and laughing loudly till 1.15 am and then 2 returned to the room next to me making lots of noise and talking loudly about those attending the wedding until 1.45 when at last it was quiet enough to sleep.
The staff were pleasant and welcoming.

United KingdomThe walls were thin, I heard the man next door snoring and talking on the phone at night. It's uncontrollable factor so I had to bear with it...
Cranfield is a peaceful place to stay. There were a lot of farms in the area around. Not many vehicles at night so I slept well and recharged myself.

United KingdomThe room was only set for 1 person though it was booked for 2. Breakfast wasn't the best quality, though all items were available. It took half an hour to get 3 veggie sausages.
The surrounding grounds are nice.

United KingdomStates a room with a view ….. our view was massive black pipes on a roof, awful view Wedding at the venue when we stayed so very loud. Room very small with lots of storage. Better to have a bigger bed and less storage, which would make it more comfortable to sleep 2 people
The location is beautiful

Room was comfortable for a night. Decor is a bit outdated but rooms are clean. Plenty of parking. Breakfast includes hot English Breakfast, continental, fruit and cereals. Fans available in the room

AustraliaMitchell Hall offers a fantastic rural location with the bonus of easy access to nearby cities when needed. The rooms are solid and comfortable, and the on-site bar is a great place to unwind. I couldn’t find anything to fault, an excellent stay all around.

United KingdomNOTHING perfect stay
The staff at Mitchell Hall were all very professional and courteous. Very accommodating. I contacted the team prior to arrival and my request was dealt with very quickly. 100% customer service. The rooms were well presented and very clean. We had 2 doubles and a twin room. Lovely spacious bathroom. Shower brilliant with plenty hot water. Check in was smooth and quick. The location was 20 minutes from National Bowls. Parking available on grounds. Breakfast was lovely in a beautiful dining room. Hot and cold selection. Outside area lovely tables and chairs to sit out and smoking area. Totally recommend and managed to rebook for next year. My first choice when in Milton Keynes.

United KingdomWould benefit from a small fridge in the room. There should have been more non-pork alternatives for sausages and bacon with breakfast and the tea and coffee was not good.
Very clean accommodation with the basics provided. The staff were friendly and the venue was peaceful despite there being events like a wedding. Breakfast was nice and there was a mixture of hot and cold continental breakfast. There is a bar and restaurant on site and WiFi throughout. The accomodation is located a 3 minute walk from co op and a kebab van (Jimmy's) comes outside the co op each evening. I needed an iron and one was provided at the front desk. I did however have to carry both the iron and iron board up to the room myself
