Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

We stayed 2 nights in a double bedroom with a sofa bed. The room wasn’t very big, but it was cozy and comfortable, with a nice ensuite bathroom. The host was very friendly and kept us updated with helpful texts during our stay. The location is a little bit far from the station, but it was fine for us. Overall, a pleasant stay — we’d be happy to come back another time!

There are some issues with finding the location, as Google maps sets the location as next door.
The room is exactly as advertised, clean and tidy.

The bed base was broken and we had a slight problem with the door lock sticking, but we managed to rectify.
It was clean and functional and the property host provided a much appreciated fan as the room was quite hot. Very quiet room though.

Bathroom was very small, which was fine for 1 night but maybe not ideal for a longer stay since getting into the shower is a bit of a challenge.
Staff were extremely helpful on the day of check-in. Checking in was super easy. The location was exactly where I needed to be and extremely reasonable in terms of price for London. Room was very clean. Location was surprisingly quiet for London!

The lamp in the bathroom was malfunctioning as soon as you get under the shower. One of the towels had a strange smell, like it wasn’t washed well.
Perfect location to visit the Emirates stadium. The bed was comfortable and the neighbourhood was very nice and quiet.

When we arrived, I didn't recive information how to enter our room and I had to contact the owner. After 10 minutes we recived a code and got in. I would work on sending these information in advance so there would be smoother arrival.
There was a kitchen, where we could make food. There was all the equipment needed including fridge, microwave, toaster. The room was okay, one double bed and a sofa for the third person. The bed was a little bit too soft, but that is our preferences. Bathroom was tiny with shower and toillet and sink. We were provided one big towel each.

In the room we got (for 3 people), the bathroom was quite small, which wasn’t an issue except for the sink, which was too tiny even for washing hands. We were given one towel per person, without a separate hand or foot towel in the bathroom, but this was quickly and easily sorted with the host, who was very kind and helpful.
The room was clean and equipped with all the basic furniture. The towels and bedding were clean. The shared kitchen has a kettle, fridge, cabinets, and similar amenities, although I was hoping there would be some coffee available too :) The location is truly excellent – the building is on a very quiet and lovely street, and it’s about a 10-minute walk to the underground at a normal pace, and it's maybe a 15 minutes ride to the center. All praise to the host, who was exceptionally kind and accommodating — there were no issues at all. The check-in process was simple — both the main entrance and the room are accessed via a code provided by the host. All in all, I think the room deserves a 9/10 rating considering the price-to-quality ratio!

It was very hot! I didn't receive the message with the access codes, so I spent a while trying to contact someone to let me in!
Really clean with quality bedding. Spacious room with iron, board and plenty of space for luggage etc
