Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Great location right next to the train station and close to town centre, big comfy beds, clean and modern, lots of space and huge bathroom upstairs, free toiletries, Erika met us at the house to give us a tour and some tips - thanks for the milk and Welsh cakes! Lovely outside area although it was too wet for us to use unfortunately

just one small thing, couldnt not wash hands in d/w toilet, had to go to shower room to wash hands, just this one thing

There was nothing I disliked about the property at all but I am very sensitive to sounds and I did struggle with a high pitch whistle that came from the fridge but shutting the kitchen door and eating in the lounge diner resolved the issue for me.
The house was absolutely spotless and had everything you could possibly need. We even made use of the old towels in the cupboard in the bathroom as we forgot to bring our own and wanted to go to the waterfalls and didn't want to take the beautiful white towels supplied. I also really liked the decor in the house and the garden was small but really pretty with an area for us to use a disposable BBQ. Tesco is walking distance as is the leisure centre. We stopped here to break up a long journey south and did some activities whilst in Wales so it was a perfect place for us to spend a couple of days. I would highly recommend the property and we would stay again.

Lovely friendly greeting from Erika. Welsh cakes were great. The house was very comfortable well equipped and a perfect location for us. Great location for the train to Cardiff.

This spacious home is ideal for a long weekend getaway. The expansive living/dining area, large bathroom, and fully equipped kitchen provide exceptional comfort. Its convenient location offers easy access, being 25 minutes from Pen y fan and 15 minutes from Zip World. Communication and instructions provided by the hosts were clear and efficient.

Travelled down with some friends to stay and get a train into Cardiff for the rugby. Erika was there to greet us and show us around The house is stunning, very clean, all utensils you could think of and in an ideal location. Erika had kindly got some milk in for some well earned brews from the travel. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future! Many thanks.

We were greeted by Erika who told us everything we needed to know about the house and local area. The whole house was lovely and comfortable and has everything you could need. Kitchen had all appliances you needed. Lounge was extremely comfortable and great WiFi, tv etc. bedrooms were great and extremely comfortable beds and luxury bedding. Bathrooms great with an amazing shower. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Everything. The property was lovely - a true home from home. Loved all the personal touches - milk, Welsh cakes etc. The rain shower was amazing, just what we needed after a long day! The hosts were amazing. My husband left a jumper behind. On contacting the host they said it wasn't a problem and arranged for us to collect it. Brilliant service, above and beyond!

Erika is really attentive and makes sure the details are all looked after. The house was spotless throughout and so well decorated. The communication from Erika was excellent and she made sure we had everything we needed when we got there. Including safe storage for our bikes.
