Quiet residential area. Felt very safe. Large flat. Well equipped kitchen. Two separate bathrooms/toilet/shower. Comfortable beds, sofa etc..everything is in the flat that could be needed. Clear instructions about use of appliances available.

We stayed here for the Edinburgh festival taking the train in and out. The station is nearby and this worked well although the trains are very full for the festival. We did the Falkirk park run which is about 1 mile from the apartment. Walked along the canal from the station to Falkirk wheel

United KingdomThe fridge freezer was not working & it took quite a bit of time to be advised there was a hidden switch that we needed to flick on to start it. We lost time & shopping as a result- the maintenance had no key to gain access when we were out! We therefore sat in one evening awaiting their possible attendance. We were asked to leave this on for the next guests, so obviously should have been on for our arrival too. The compensation of £25 for inconvenience was also poor- given we’d paid £150 per night to stay. There was a lack of information regarding this & the 2 TVs in the property. The one in the bedroom couldn’t be used at all due to no reception & no ariel. No info regarding rubbish - so we had leave it all in the kitchen for the cleaner to deal with after we’d left. An information folder would have been extremely handy

United KingdomThe main bedroom mattress was way too firm - could do with a memory foam topper. We ended up sleeping in the 2nd bedroom which had a slightly more comfortable mattress (we added a duvet to sleep on top of) and our 13yo son had the master room. The hall light fitting was working but had exposed wiring at the ceiling; the mirrors and surfaces of everything were 'sticky' - we had to wash up any kitchen items before we could use them; we couldn't use the oven for the first 5 nights of our stay as the clock had been pushed in by a previous occupant and having contacted the caretaker of the property about it, we had to wait in for a technician to come fix it. The reason we went for self-catering was so we could cook most of our own meals, instead having take aways or eating out. This combined put an overall dampner on our stay.
The location was good and for the most part, quiet. We arrived late in the evening having made prior arrangements for late collection of the keys, and unpacked the car of our essentials only so we wouldn't disturb the neighbours. The flats are in a nice area.

AustraliaThe flat was not cleaned; the hosts were not contactable by phone, only through messages on Booking.com. Once contacted they told us that a cleaner was not available until 1.30pm the following day. I was advised to look in cupboards for clean linen and change it ourselves! The toilets had poo stains in both, dishes in the sink, towels on the floors. And I had to pay a £300 damage bond prior to being given check in details! We were left standing on the footpath in freezing cold weather before being given the news about the cleaner! They offered 1 night’s refund! We were left without accommodation and we had paid for 3 nights. Booking.com was super helpful but the hosts were abysmal!
The location was very hard to find, and it was even harder to find the flat. The instructions were completely wrong.

No effort at cleaning: unthinkable bio. filth on the toilet brush, bathroom surfaces riddled w/grime & hair, grime on kitchen cabinet handles& fronts, filthy wall surfaces; clothes iron utterly smeared w/?? , nightstand broken, ceiling lights w/spent bulbs, —far below standards we’ve seen on any lodging platform! We lost £550+ b/c it wasn’t fit/healthy to stay in- certainly not for our daughter.
The first wretched stay & poor review in my many yrs of booking.com stays. So bad we couldn’t stay - despite losing 3 nights’ prepayment. Booking.com customer svc was kind and tried to help but in the end, they let us down - by working with this inappropriate lodging and not protecting customers.

United KingdomThe flat is situated on a road that seems to be a thoroughfare for everyone in Falkirk !!! So it can be a little noisy late at night. There was an issue at checkin . Make sure you have the code to pick up the keys from the local supermarket. Luckily I was able to email and got a reply within the hour .
The property had everything you would need for a short stay . The kitchen was functional. Plenty of parking and easy to find . Both bathrooms are clean and have good showers . We were visiting the Edinburgh fringe festival so this is a cheaper option on accommodation. It’s about a 40 min drive into the centre of Edinburgh .

United KingdomOn arrival we noticed the beds weren't really made then we noticed the dirty laundry in the bath so room had not been serviced! So with no clean bedding we had to find another room for the first night and promised there would be cleaners the next day! So that's fine we went out for the day expecting to arrive back to a clean apartment. That wasn't the case very frustrating! The cleaner arrived at 10pm in the end just to change the beds. So flat still dirty!! It totally ruined our few days away !!!!!
