Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomCurtain fitting needs looking at in room 1.
Good price for London. The house was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Shower worked well. Very quiet neighbourhood in a surprisingly attractive part of London. Near the University of East London, where we were visiting a church meeting for the weekend. Near a bus stop so easy transport connections to rest of London. Good communication with the owners and keysafe to get the house key for self entry to the building.

United KingdomThe property could benefit from better sound insulation, such as the installation of acoustic damping, as the presence of other guests can be heard, particularly early in the morning. However, this wasn't a problem for us as we were up very early anyway, but it was just an observation
We stayed for one night while attending an event near the Docklands. The room, which was located on the ground floor, came with access to its own dedicated toilet and hand wash basin. There was also a shared bathroom, situated on the first floor. Our host was very responsive regarding a minor query, which was then quickly resolved. The area, in south Newham, was very quiet and close to bus links for Stratford, Canning Town and London's Docklands area. The trees on the residential streets looked beautiful in the sunny Spring weather.

United KingdomThe place is a little run down overall, though I understand the owners only recently took it over and may just be getting set up. Sound does travel through the building quite a bit, especially if you're in the ground floor room as we were - we could hear exactly when the upstairs guests got up. There is also some kind of alarm that beeps every 2 minutes or so, which is very audible in the ground floor room.
The owners were wonderful - they were very flexible on check in and check out times, they were responsive to messages and they live nearby. The place was clean and decently furnished, with a comfortable bed and the TV with Fire Stick so we could watch our own stuff was a nice touch. Use of the kitchen and garden was a bonus too. The location is amazing if you're attending an event at the ExCel, as it's only about a 15 minute walk, and you can get the Tube into the centre from there too.

NigeriaThey did not respond on time. We were kept outside for almost 2 hours with my little daughter. This exposed us to people around as we kept asking questions. I almost booked another hotel with the thought that I have been scammed.
It is close to the conference i attended.

United KingdomHouse was dirty. Bed had dirty linen which had to change ourselves, got biten by bed bugs, bathroom was dirty, bath had a hole in which had been repaired. Toilet downstairs wouldn't flush, only two plugs in bedroom for 2 people, and extension cable when it finally arrived was unsafe with wires hanging out. Very noisy. Kitchen floor broken, and kitchen worktops broken and held together with tape. Bed frame was broken and held together with ducktape so I fell through when I sat on it. When contacting the male owner, he was extremely rude and unhelpful. Kitchen cutlery was broken when I used the knives and Forks, so had to eat with plastic ones. There were no tea towels to dry up the washing up. There was a man shouting in the early hours of the morning. The bedroom doors would bang at night so couldn't sleep and had to put a wedge in them. Also the bedroom had a window above the door so when someone put the light on in the hallway at night it would wake you up. The chair in our bedroom was broken. And the desk was held together by duck tape. There was no fire alarm in our bedroom despite there being hanging wires and a very dangerous and dirty extension lead. The place was all held together with duck tape. Very uninhabitable. I would not recommend anyone to stay here and think its wrong they are asking money for this place.
Location was convenient for London excel

Most of the facilities were broken and dirty, the apartment did not look clean nor aesthetically pleasing, the room didn’t not look like on the pictures and the bed sheets were old and dirty. United KingdomOverall, I do not like the cleanliness and dirty linen.
I booked a one-night stay, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. The room was filthy, with stained sheets and a terrible smell. The caretaker was unprofessional (appeared drunk) and refused to help when I complained. The kitchen is dirty. Worst of all, there was no way to contact the host; calls went unanswered. I had to find another hotel the next day. I am really disappointed and would never recommend it to anyone else.

PolandSlippers were included in the booking offer. It turned out there’s only one pair of slippers (around size 38) in front of the bathroom. It would be great if the room had bedside tables or something else to put dishes on.
It was a great value for the money. I liked that the toiletries included face wash and toothpaste. It was clean.

United KingdomNo comms with the property. Owner was high/ drunk on arrival. Tried closing me into a room. Physically attempted to block my exit out of the building. Followed me down the street after leaving. I never leave reviews, this needs removing off Booking.com Wouldn’t recommend to my worse enemy.
I loved getting to the property and been met by the host who was so high/drunk that he couldn’t show me to my room properly or give me a key to my room, then wouldn’t let me leave the property by blocking the stairwell- loved this experience so much.
