Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomPath through church yard right outside the windows, church bells overnight (obviously can't help this but got woken up a few times from it) and not having curtains as well as blinds on the windows in the bedroom so slightly light inside.
Decor, space in the house, central location and accessibility to other places inc. in village. Everything you need there (and nice to be by the shop and cafe), host very helpful in messages/information given.

AustraliaWhen we arrived , filming for a TV show was going on which severely impacted the stay. We had little privacy due to vehicles outside the front door and a non stop procession of film crew. If we had known in advance we would have chosen another place as this was booked to recoup and just relax in peace and quiet which we could not do. I contacted the owner about it who offered apologies and a full refund which was very much appreciated. I can imagine it would be a nice place when filming is not going on.
High standard, good furnishings etc. Comfy bed, well stocked kitchen with everything you need. Village shop opposite .

United KingdomAbsolutely beautiful apartment, really tastefully decorated, well stocked with tea coffee and sugar, comfy bed and piping hot shower. We loved the location next door to the shop and cafe, we fully expected to have to park up the road but found a space right outside both days really easily. We also enjoyed the sound of the bells appreciate not to everyone's taste but we loved it ! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will definitely return ourselves.

AustriaNo private outside space to relax other than the public benches. Windows cannot be opened for fresh air or to cool the cottage. However, small tower fan was provided which helped to circulate the air.

Very well equipped and very clean. The small cafe and shop next door work well.

United KingdomParking was not that easy as the area gets busy with cars. There is parking at the side of the property but those spaces were always taken so we had to park further up on the road

United KingdomI can't say it was a dislike more of a hassle with parking. When you return your parking spot outside, the property is taken; the vehicle owner is either in the shop or the café.
Very comfortable apartment in a great, quiet location. Pubs in walking distance and the local shop/café opposite. The café do an excellent breakfast!

United KingdomWe had difficulty finding the property & needed the photos from listing to aid us. The bed is listed as a king but it felt smaller. As so close to the very popular community cafe it could be difficult to park near if you came back during the day.
In a gorgeous location very close to the community cafe & shop. Next to a churchyard with front door in church grounds. Very nicely presented property with lots of little extras.

The property was in a fantastic location, clean and had everything you needed for your stay. Very well presented with lovely charming cosy home furnishings. Shop and cafe right next door, with a couple of local pubs within a 4 minute walk. A great base for you to explore the cotswolds. Highly recommended 👌 Kelcie was very helpful

United KingdomIf you are a light sleeper bring earplugs as the church bell might keep you up through night. The double mattress was comfy but a bit uneven causing a few minor disruptions to sleep.
Exceptionally clean. Beautiful and cosy decor with lovely welcoming touches of additional blankets, coffee machine, milk, biscuits. Very helpful host providing recommendations of local eateries and landmarks, also very helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Good storage space. Very good wifi and adjustable central heating. Provision of shampoo / conditioner / shower gel as well as towels, and hair dryer.
