Delicious breakfast with so much choice. One of the best places we’ve stayed in Portpatrick. Would definitely return again. Great location with a fabulous room overlooking the putting green with the sea in the near distance and lovely restaurants just round the corner. What a great reception from our lovely hosts, Simon and Cathy who were very informative and most welcoming.

The hosts Kathy & Simon are lovely, and were so helpful. Simons breakfast was amazing, my husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend staying at No4 Portpatrick.

It was very hot the day we arrived and we would have appreciated a fan in the room but this didn’t detract from our enjoyment of the room. The steps up into the property would benefit from some sort of handrail to assist people with more limited mobility.

The property is situated in a beautiful village/small town, it had lovely views of the sea and was only a very short walk (less than a minute) to the seafront . The owners were so friendly and welcoming and cheerfully accommodated our request for an earlier breakfast. The room was large spotlessly clean and was furnished to a high standard. We particularly appreciated the 2 easy chairs (too often there is only one) and very comfy large bed with quality bedding. The shower water pressure was impressive! The usb ports and easily accessible plugs were very helpful. The breakfast was exceptional, quality produce cooked perfectly and served with a smile and pleasant conversation. Thank you we would definitely stay again.

The hosts Simon and Cathy were very friendly and approachable. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and everywhere was very clean. The house was accessible to the centre of Portpatrick with a choice of restaurants nearby.

Everything was great, even the water heater for the building that went out was fixed in a timely fashion.

I believe we had room number 1, overlooking the cliffs, a pretty pitch and put, and views of the seafront of Portpatrick. Beautiful large bay windows provided an expansive view and a lovely place to kick back and relax. Parking was easy, on the street right outside. Granted our visit was somewhat in the off-season, or coming into it, I would imagine this town is booming in high season and would expect ease of access may change (This is why we always try and travel off-season, miss the hoards:). Breakfast was excellent, my partner and I are vegetarian and my parents are not (who also stayed), we had so many options and everything we tried was superb!

Extremely friendly and helpful hosts Home made shortbread in room each day on a excellent tea/coffee/hot chocolate tray and every morning freshly cooked breakfast excellent quality produce with homemade bread, potato scones, jams & marmalade Clean and superior quality bed, bedding , towels, hand & shower Gels Free water and fresh milk in fridge in hallway which you can use to keep your own drinks cold (wine beer) Simon & Cathy use glass containers to keep plastic eat a minimum which is always good and go above and beyond to make your stay extra special We rate this B&B 5 STAR PLUS

Let me think, what could have been done to make us like our stay better? Staying at the No 4 Portpatrick B&B longer. Everything was perfect!

Cathy and Simon are gracious and accommodating hosts. Upon arrival, Simon took the time to help us with our bags in our room. The rooms are comfy, clean and well appointed. Their eye for detail is amazing. A home cooked breakfast with homemade sourdough bread is a proper way to start the day! My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay. Our hats off to a wonderful couple!

We had fantastic weather, so combined with our likes above, we had no dislikes.

We had a large spacious ensuite bedroom which had all home comforts. Breakfast menu covered all our likes and the home made breads were very tasty. We had a very central location and well positioned for easy walks to our favoured spots.

There is nothing this couple need to do to make it better, they have thought seriously about what was needed and supplied it without fuss.

The hosts Simon and Cath were exceptional and friendly people, everything about this stay was first class, with a great bed, great shower, food and hospitality. We promise to return here if it is at all possible for us. Value for money with a cooked breakfast included was just outstanding.
