On arrival, hotel charged my card its own rate per night, which was more expensive than our reserved booking.com rate. On checking out I was told that I would need to email the manager to request a refund. Despite several calls and follow up, I have not received either a reply or a refund. So beware

Prices of food and drink in the hotel are extortionate.

Exceptional reception staff. Professional, friendly, and very helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily and are very comfortable. Great spa and outside seating are.

Pool area a bit dirty. Found stick on lashes and empty water bottles when I went down early morning just as it opened. Can’t sit outside comfortably with the wasps. Drinks well over priced.

First visit, we didn't have a room with a view. Can get noisy when there is a wedding on.

This was our second stay here. The first was very good but the room looked on to a alley/ brick wall and so they placed a forest scene onto the window. This was the only down side and not a major one as there were great views from the spa, garden and the restaurant to make up for it. This time we had a good view on the second floor. The spa is great. It has a good size pool and several steam rooms including a traditional sauna, aromatherapy room and an 'ice room'. The Jacuzi was huge. Breakfast buffet had great food but the coffee was not really to my taste and we had to wait a couple of times for it to be refilled. Staff were great, surroundings excellent and we will definitely be going again.

Fire alarm went off at 6am for around 20 mins on and off. We got back to the hotel after a gig and didnt get back until 2am, to then be woken up at 6am was awful with a 4hr drive home today on such little sleep. When i called reception to ask why the alarm hadnt been turned off completely i found the man i spoke with rude and not interested. Wasnt offered any apologies either.

Unfortunately the alarm seemed to have a flat so when I was going off intermittently from 7am it was slightly annoying and due to getting back after 1am with the traffic being bad after Oasis we ended up having to cancel breakfast so we could sleep longer as we had a long journey home. No one’s fault was just annoying.

Had everything we needed in room, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, beds were comfortable and shower was powerful. Grounds and general aesthetics of the place were lovely. They left black bags and slippers out for Oasis gig goers at the entrance so this was a nice touch (and kept the place clean after a wet and muddy gig!)
