Delicious breakfast in stunning rooms. Sourdough with an array of choices from full English to shakshuka. However, the coffee at breakfast could have been better - (I think it was filter in a cafetière). Had it been proper ground bean machine coffee, the breakfast would have been 10/10.

I would have liked a safe in our room. Room was on the first floor.

Room 7 was under the reception area I think as we heard noises above from early in the morning. This lower ground room was overlooked by the road at the front. I do like a 3 course hotel breakfast so it did seem a shame that you had to pay extra for that for the room price.

The super comfortable bed, the shutters to block light, the lovely view from the bathroom over Clifton from room 7, the high quality of the accommodation generally , the really helpful and friendly staff and the tasty cooked breakfast. The road at the front, described as busy by others, was quiet on a Sunday morning.

Throw on the bed was badly stained. Inside fridge a bit grubby. Shower gels etc containers in shower a bit tatty. Would be nice to have an honesty bar or ability to have a decent glass of wine somewhere.

Fine for us but be warned there are 28 steep steps up to the top floor. The sash cord on the rear window was broken and it was stifling hot so we managed to open it but couldn’t close it. There is a ceiling fan and we left it on all night as closed the front windows when the road got busy in the morning. The toilet door catch doesn’t work so the door is always ajar. The Veezu taxi company promoted by the B&B was awful! They arrived 15 mins early then waited behind the building somewhere, but couldn’t find us out the front so collected us late and we declined the car at first as it was different to the one specified by Veezu. I then phoned Veezu who verified the different car. At our destination the driver refused card payment, wanted cash but had no change, which we had to go and get from the restaurant we were going into. Then having paid the driver who drove off, Veezu sent a request for payment online. Maybe it was a rogue driver but it was very unsettling.

We were in room 2 which has views out across Bristol to the rear and across a busy road to trees and park the other. The decor is dark blue & light is muted but there is a window sill where you can get more light with freestanding shaving/ vanity mirror. Very comfy bed, soft pillows. Great breakfast, cooked was available but we both had muesli, yog, fruit compote, fresh fruit, sourdough toast cafetière & tea. Good location, a 5 minute walk to lots of eateries & because we stayed 3 nights we were able to reserve a parking permit. We never had any issues, parking is plentiful across the road by the park. Nice lounge areas for relaxation and a terrace outside we didn’t use as too many more flights of stairs down from our room at the top! Other residents seemed to be taking drinks across the road to the park

The whole experience and property were brilliant. Friendly and personal greeting on arrival from kind and responsive staff. Breakfast is included, and I had the porridge with cinnamon and honey, and it was beautiful! The room was gorgeous, with a comfy bed, all the facilities you could need, nice complimentary items, and a gorgeous view from the window. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful and unique, room was stunning, classical music playing when I arrived. Views amazing, breakfast great, very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely terrace for my morning coffee. Right opposite Clifton downs. Can’t wait to come back!

The room was very hot, but there was a fan provided.

I booked this hotel as a surprise for my sister in law's wedding night. They offered us late checkout at no extra charge plus rose petals on the bed and a wedding card. They also allowed them to check their bags in the day before, as they would be arriving straight from the venue. They advised that they loved the massive bathroom. There was a large comfortable bed. They loved the added touch of the rose petals. Plenty of storage. Lovely breakfast.
