Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It was very bright as there were no blinds on the sky lights, and the curtains did not stop any light coming in from the windows. Also, it was very hot and there was a cooler that you had to change ice blocks regularly. Also, the sky lights did not open. I would suggest the host getting an air conditioner.
It had a full kitchen and was spacious. The place was very clean and the host was excellent.

The host gave us very clear instructions beforehand along with tips, such as where to park and where the shops/restaurants were nearby. He also kindly left us a welcome gift in the fridge upon arrival! Everything was clean and fresh; I would definitely stay here again if/when we are in the area.

The steps in the entry are uneven and an initial challenge
A clean, tidy and spacious apartment, with good facilities and a functional kitchen. The small double bed was comfortable with nice ensuite. Close to supermarket and chippy.

The only issues we had, was the shower was a little tight but was still nice pressure and clean and the last issue was only one fan/cooler in 30 degree heat was hard. Maybe slightly larger fans and one upstairs and downstairs.
The property was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. The village was very nice and having the supermarket 5 mins up the road was a great help.

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Drill Hall. The hosts were really proactive, providing all the information we needed up front, and the property itself is lovely. It's right in the middle of the village, and is decorated really nicely, with everything you could want.

Way too light - the bedroom needs thick curtains and absolutely a dark blind in the velux window directly facing the bed. This would be a deal-breaker for us coming again in the spring or summer with light evenings and mornings. Kitchen provision - needs ordinary shaped cereal bowls. And several different-sized bowls that are microwavable.
Absolutely spotless and virtually everything seemed new. A lovely sense of spaciousness with the high ceiling, and very light. Well-appointed with great kitchen provision. Interesting with the two levels in the one space. Pretty bedroom - lovely to sit in the armchair at the window. Fabulous rainfall shower. Location good - our concerns about noisy traffic allayed as it tailed off in the evenings.

Number three old drill hall is a great place to stay. It has plenty of character, with a well equipped kitchen and cozy sitting area especially as the weather was against us, and a lovely upstairs bedroom. Cleanliness was top class and its location is ideal for exploring the surrounding area. Good communication throughout.

Not ideal for friends travelling together, due to layout of property. Bathroom is off the main bedroom. Also while we were aware 1 bed was a sofa bed, the area was very cramped for opening it out. We also found seating around the tv/living room area very cramped and a bit uncomfortable. A smart TV would be a bonus. We had come away on a girls relaxing break but the TV had really limited options. I would say the property is not really suitable for 4 guests.
The property was tastefully decorated and furnished. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Our host had also gone to the trouble of putting an aircon unit in as the weather had been very warm.
