Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt was lovely & highly recommend but personally do think the price is a bit steep for what you get. I do also understand that it’s something different so might be why it’s on the higher side. But
Stuart was really lovely & super helpful. The bed was very comfortable & location good too.

We arrived at Oakside Tree Tops and were given a warm and friendly welcome by Stuart. He explained everything we needed to know and then left us to enjoy our stay. Everything was clean and tidy. Room was lovely and cosy with the most amazing views. Fantastic breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day. The resident pig js also a great addition… extremely friendly and really enjoys attention from the guests. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return sometime soon.

United KingdomBed was squeezed in between two walls so a bit uncomfortable for us but a really nice, relaxing experience despite being up a tree in a thunderstorm!
Stewart was a great host and lovely to have the deck area to share a drink with others. Great cooked breakfast.

United KingdomNo faults, all was great.
Everything, we loved our stay. We had a kind and warm welcome from Stuart the owner. We walked the beautiful woodland area on the grounds, met the pig before relaxing on the balcony of the tree house. Luck was on our side as we had the good weather to accommodate the beautiful views of the sun setting. We wanted calm and peaceful surroundings and that’s what we got. The tree house it’s self is a brilliant crafted piece, had all we needed and we Slept like a logs. Indulged on a fantastic cooked breakfast the next morning. Thank you for having us, we will see you again. All the best x

United KingdomUnfortunately, it rained a little whilst we were there, and the stairs became a bit slippy. Most of them have gripper material on them but not all so these could be maintained. However, it didn't hinder our trip.
The treetop lodge was a great unique stay! On arrival, there is plenty of parking and check in was very easy. Stuart showed us the room and explained how everything worked. The shower was hot and wifi strong despite being in a tree house! We loved the way that it had been constructed with lots of thought like the bed and light fittings being made from the tree. The pigs outside were a great addition and very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was also excellent and cooked just to our liking. The host and treehouse were exactly what we were after for a one night stay.

Everything. The treehouse itself was outstanding! The level of details and craftsmanship that’s been put into creating the treehouse is amazing. Stuart was fantastic, very positive and passionate. We never found him to say bye and thankyou. Also make sure you go and see the two little piggy’s. The pigs alone were worth the trip
