Everything was great, but the water in the shower is a bit slow.

Very clean house, all we needed for the stay was provided, lovely garden, very spacious rooms, beautiful bathroom and kitchen. I will recommend it to others. Very close to Windermere and to other lakes.

Would be nice to have a real fireplace, it seems booking.com doesnt distinguish between artificial heat and wood/coal fireplaces :(

We weren't sure what to expect at this property but we were pleasantly surprised. Initially couldnt see where to park and then found the driveway up to the cottage rather than the general parking area that is right next door. We received an email with the key box code prior to arrival, which we had no problems with. We entered in to find a 2 level property with bedrooms upstairs and bathroom, with living room, large kitchen and dining room both adjoining the entry. The kitchen was really well appointed and you didnt need anything ... except food ! We did have an issue with the "fireplace" (not real but provides heating) and we used the contact number provided and she was very helpful. She is also able to control the overall heating from her place nearby. It's ideally located in the Lakes District so a perfect point to go exploring from, we regretted not booking another night. Would definitely consider booking here again.

Beds were so uncomfortable, it was like sleeping on a plank of wood. Settee wasn't comfortable, you sink into it, needs replacing. Shower wasn't powerful enough, but that's personal preference. Being woken up by a spirit who was walking along the landing and opened our bedroom door

The heating didn't come on as expected so the house was cold each time we returned after work but we were able to turn it on easily. The sink in the smaller bedroom was quite noisy after use.

The location was ideal for us and the house was clean and well presented.

Nothing, the property is ideal!

The property is excellent. Clean, spacious, on site parking. Easy to use heating, all appliances in the kitchen were easy to use. Lovely to have the little things such as, kitchen paper, tea towels, washing up liquid, etc all provided. Most importantly Sarah & Eleanor are accommodating, easily contactable and so helpful.

My only little niggles were the pathway up to the garden was obstructed with the big plants, they just need a quick trim back to clear the path. There is a picnic table in the garden, which is good, but a couple of extra garden chairs would be useful so you could choose where in the garden to sit.

There was no welcome pack and no information on how anything worked. It would have been nice to find a pint of milk or indeed anything as is common these days in most holiday lets. The TV only worked if the wind wasn't blowing which is most of the time in the Lakes. Perhaps some pruning of the hedge obscuring the satellite dish might have helped.

The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped but some instructions for the microwave and oven would have been useful as they weren't intuitive.

Great location for the south lakes, super easy access to lake Windemere and steamers from Lakeside. Clean, comfortable, and lots of space, with a well equipped kitchen.

The master bedroom has alot of black mould inside the back wall of the wardrobe and there is wallpaper peeling off the wall above the bed. The heating was set to come on at 3am to 22.5 degrees which meant we slept terribly. We were woken up boiling hot and forced to get up every night at 3am to turn it down manually. During the day, the heating went down to 15 degrees, and it was far too cold when we returned to the accommodation. We turned it up manually but had to wait very cold for it to warm enough to get into bed (which was cold in the bed). As there are no spare blankets we couldn't get warm easily. The dishwasher did not wash the dishes after being turned on, so we then hand washed everything out of the dishwasher.
