Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt's not a "didn't like", more a "you could improve". The pressure of the shower, it worked and was perfect temperature and still did it's job. Other's might say it's environmentally friendly the amount of water came out. Found previous person's rubbish in the bedside drawer.
Small room, but had everything you needed for a stay over. Everything in the room that I would expect. Comfy bed

United KingdomSure, the decor is somewhat dated, but so what. I loved it and it really added to the experience of everything that this property is. There wasn't anything else I would add.
Firstly, the cleanliness of this hotel could put plenty of major brand hotels to shame. My room, sheets and towels were absolutely immaculate with not a speck of dust or a mark anywhere. It was lovely. Breakfast was also amazing, a really delicious full English with toast, coffee, juice and cereal. The staff were super friendly and breakfast was a real treat. I absolutely loved my stay here and wanted to add another two nights, but they were full! No surprise, this is a complete bargain and a great experience! :) Loved It.

The location of the Old Lamb is an area we know very well & close to where we were spending the 12th March. We had an early start so decided to stay in a hotel on the night of the 11th just in case?. The Old Lamb looks like it could be off a 'chocolate Box'. It is a pretty thatched building that if it could talk would keep you engrossed with tales from the previous centuries. I remember my grandparents, who lived nearby taking us in there when I was a kid. I was looking forward to, as I pictured in my head, sitting by the Old huge log fire & reminiscing. We arrived to find that the 'pub' is no longer a pub but a private home & the accommodation is at the back in a separate building. Breakfast is included & you eat that in the old bar area of the once pub. Free parking with plenty of space, our room was the last one available which was a twin room which isn't an issue & happy to have. The room is on the small size with small flat screen TV & kettle on a desk. The.bathroom with shower, sink & lots of clean towels. It was nice & clean. To hang clothes up there is some coat hooks with hangers on the.wall. it was pretty basic but it covered our needs & the peaceful location just right for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was very nice, I had toast scrambled egg & my husband a full fry up which he enjoyed, cereal & fruit juice etc are on a table for you to help yourself, tea & coffee is brought to you freshly made. Overall we had nothing to grumble about & why would we for a charge of only £65.00?.

United KingdomRoom is dated and the general cleanliness could be better. The bathroom could benefit with some love.
Accommodation block is behind the main building so is relatively quiet. The car park has ample space and the rooms overlook it so good if you like to keep an eye on your vehicle. I booked a single room which had ample heating. I didnt use the free toiletries, free WiFi or included breakfast

United Kingdomneed wifi for work. it was not working. when asked, was told there are blind spots in some of the rooms, (basically most or all of the double rooms) and only single rooms have wifi assured, so unfortunately that means wont risk booking here again
ample parking, good breakfast, room was warm (once I had the radiators turned on - it was freezing on arrival, but rads work fine and easy to control the temperature to warm up as required to personal taste)
