When we first went to the room, the toilet was blocked and wouldn't flush properly, and u could see it was an issue before as the toilet brush wasn't clean. When I used the bath it smelt funny like the drain needed cleaning, few dead wasps in the room and live ones and the tv was outdated so when trying to access Netflix/prime/disney it wasn't working. The garden was lovely beautiful flowers but was let down with the pond as that could do with a good clean.

Lovely hotel, staff gave us all the information we needed, had a bath and a shower in the room, its a great location for nice walks, with activities not to far away if you wanted to go canoeing. we didnt have a dog with us but it was dog friendly. Fresh towels on the bed and room service came in to freshen the bathroom up each day

Not a complaint but the rooms got hot, even though we kept the curtains closed from sunrise. Fans were very welcome at night. The balconies between the rooms are very open and low .

Loved everything about the hotel. Staff are amazing, food was great and the icing on the cake, the dogs were very welcome there. Will definitely be going back 😊🌻

    Nothing

The traditional aspect was lovely and it was very comfortable. Despite it being the Bank Holiday - and very busy - it had a lovely atmosphere. It was very clean and the staff were very hardworking. There is a clear understanding of customer service and clearly a management team who run a very professional team. The staff were efficient and very polite. Very friendly and attentive without it being forced. I would highly recommend this establishment and we will be back.

Real soap bars in the bathroom. When we put the "Do not disturb" hung on the door it means no one need enter to tidy the room... that is standard practice in New Zealand. (To help with sustainability of the hotel we were happy to opt out of having the room serviced that day).

They accepted a late request to dine at the hotel restaurant on our arrival which was great. The breakfast was catered quick and easy which we very much appreciated.

Beeing of the back part it was a bit noisy cos of the engines from the court. So, I couln’t open the windows. Hopefully the ceiling hand helped!😉

Amazing & charming classic building. Several courtyards to enjoy. Great water pressure. Ceiling fan very useful as room was quite hot. Lovely dining room & very good breakfast,

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely. Main building is so old and full of character, the barn conversion with apartments in is wonderfully done! Really amazing place. Some really interesting options on the evening menu, featuring lots of local produce. Breakfast was delicious! Thank you all!

The soap in the bathroom is a bit weird, it's a powder that turns into soap & there are no big shops or corner shops near by , if u want snacks id stock up before hand 👌🏻

Beautiful room & grounds, really lovely and friendly staff, close to walks & a cafe near by and a load of places to fish, paddle boat eg. This place is brilliant to bring dogs to, it's very close to a lot of walks
