A fridge in the room would have been very helpful for the food we were travelling with .

Beautiful property and the bed was super comfortable. The included breakfast was a nice start to the day as the views from the dining room were exceptional. The homemade biscuits in the room were a nice touch.

Since this is a restaurant, we decided to have dinner there as well, however we were not aware that there is no à la carte option, and by the time we got in, it was too late to go elsewhere for dinner. We ended up paying £60 pp for dinner, which was lovely, but we would’ve liked to have options.

We stayed here for the proximity to Glenfinnan Viaduct, which is only a 30-min drive away. The hotel offers some beautiful landscape and we truly felt in touch with nature during our stay here.

The welcome was cursory and there was a lack of engagement from the proprietors.

The dinner was excellent and the girls serving dinner were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was very good with rare table service which was appreciated.

    Nothing at all

A fabulous small hotel & restaurant. The owner greeted us with tea & warm scones with homemade jam, very friendly & helpful, perfect picturesque location with amazing views of Ben Nevis & other mountains . The 5 course evening dinner was exceptional, the hotel has a fantastic passionate & skilled chef . A perfect stay.

    We loved it here.

Absolutely wonderful, was greeted with tea and scones (celiac safe for me!!!) On arrival, the cutest tea cups and pots. The room was warm, spacious and comfortable, and was nice to see accessible showers etc. The place had some friendly goats and puppy's around, and the views were magnificent. Great walks from your doorstep. The staff were just so lovely and friendly and helpful. Parking was easy, so was checking in and out.

The only small point was the curtains didn’t come to the end of the window or stay together well.

The location was an ideal stopping off point. The staff were amazing, extremely polite and very attentive. The food was wonderful , the chef produced true works of art. Local fresh produce was used very refreshing change to your standard fare. Bedding was good quality and the bed extremely comfortable.

We stayed just for a night, but we wanted more after. Very clean. Room is small but very well equipped. The place is just amazing. In the middle of the nature, surrounded by trees. They have some lovely goats that you can pet and they are very friendly. There are small places to hang out in the garden and charge your batteries. The stuff is also very friendly. The restaurant is wonderful. I truly recommend that place to everyone staying here. A fine dining experience (really). The food was amazing and we had the best dinner of our trip. Easily a 10.

    Nothing to dislike.

The setting is stunning, nestled amongst beautiful pine trees with panoramic windows from the dining room looking out on it all. Only a short detour from the main route but so tranquil and peaceful it felt as though we were miles away. Staff were all lovely and the food was fabulous.

Literally the only thing we could fault was the lack of fresh vegetables or fruit at dinner. The food was really good but would have been even better with some salad or fresh vegetables to accompany it.

The staff were lovely. The room was super comfortable and the views were gorgeous.

Rooms a little tired. Bathrooms not tired but modern. It was a shame that our little dog could not join us in the lounge or dining area.

Attitude towards dogs, you said this was a dog friendly hotel however it should definitely not be classed as that, dogs are welcome as long as they stay in your car or room they definitely don’t allow them anywhere else

Food was excellent (we had dinner and breakfast at the hotel). We arrived after a day of hiking under the rain and they offered us tea and scones, which we enjoyed a lot. Room was spacious and very nice. The hotel is nicely decorated. The view from the dining room is also very nice.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We were walking 'The Great Glen Walk', they picked us from Gairlochy Locks to the hotel. Later on they gave us a lift to our restaurant in Spean Bridge and also back to the hotel! The next day they gave us a lift back to the Gailochy Locks from where we continued our walk! Breakfast was excellent! I has the full Scottish and it was delicious!

We had a fabulous stay at the Old Pines Hotel! It is beautifully decorated, with lovely rooms and very homely lounge and dining room. The hotel breakfast is truly excellent and their homemade bread is not to be missed! We also loved looking out at the beautiful views of Ben Nevis in the morning during our breakfast. We would also highly recommend their fabulous packed lunches which we enjoyed immensely on our second day walking the Great Glen Way! The hotel managers made our stay extra special, with Ken going above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much! We hope to be back soon.
