Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

All the staff were just wonderful! The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated, and the location was within walking distance of all the restaurants.

Being bank holiday weekend the road was very busy, so just needed to be extra careful to come in and out as entrance is on the main road.
Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome during the all stay and also when we dined in the restaurant. Location is idyllic in the centre of Betws-y-Coed, close to shops, pubs restaurants and main attractions.

Everything was good.
We had an enjoyable time staying at Olif. The staff were very friendly and made our stay very comfortable here. The additional touch of contacting us via WhatsApp to ensure that we are well informed about our stay was very appreciated. Breakfast to go bags were provided by the hotel when we had to leave for an early hike and the portion given was very generous. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. We had a good rest before and after our hike. The tapas bar was great and we enjoyed the food selection!

Room would benefit from black out blinds or curtains.
Beautiful large well equipped room with modern en suite bathroom. Lots of great touches. Very homely feel. Attentive staff. Great freshly home cooked choice of breakfast. Would highly recommend Olif Restaurant we went both nights, great atmosphere with excellent food.

bigger cups or mugs for tea would be good. and larger draws In the furniture to provide space to put underwear etc if you were staying more than 2 nights and want to unpack rather than living out of your travel bags.
The breakfast was superb, freh good quality food and great choice. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean and well furnished with lovely en suite.

Perfect location, clean and beautiful room. We arrived late and night and the directions for parking and checking in were very helpful. The tapas restaurant downstairs was amazing! We'll definitely be back!

No parking on site but I’d rather stay there and walk the short distance to the car park!

Booked this as a last minute getaway so I could hike Snowdon. The location is perfect, in the centre of picturesque Betws-y-coed. Parking was easy. The room I stayed in was immaculate and well stocked with lots of nice things in a mini bar as well as a nespresso coffee machine. The bed was very comfortable with good quality bed linen and pillows. I booked for both nights, and it was sensational. It’s a Welsh tapas fusion, lots of options and they cater to all dietary requirements. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection, and this is coming from a food snob :) Breakfast was one of the nicest I’ve ever had. The hospitality was second to none, I was well looked after by everyone, particularly the lady on my second night on the Saturday. I’ll return here as often as I can, don’t hesitate to book.
