Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBeing picky, a little milk in the fridge would have been amazing. We had to pop down to a local shop, after unpacking so we could have a hot drink. Tea coffee and sugar provided though
The property is stunning, large open plan, large garden and had everything and more within the property. Beds were comfy. The entire property was very clean. We will definitely recommend and return

United KingdomThe only thing would recommend is a couple of bigger ovenproof type dishes for those eating meals in rather than eating out
Lovely bungalow in a peaceful setting. A short drive to plenty of places in the forest and walks on the doorstep. Nice to see the sheep roaming around the village. Lovely and clean and comfortable. Definitely a good find for our holiday Great communication from the host

United KingdomA part of the outside space to be made private would be nice (this is our personal preference more than anything)
Large open plan space, comfortable beds, shower was great. Location was secluded and off the beaten track. Easy to find from the main road though. Very close to MTB trail centre at Forest of Dean, which was perfect for us.

United KingdomI had an elderly Mum with me who struggles with mobility I didnt ask enough questions about accessibility, so my fault. The gravel on the drive is not even so she found it quite difficult even with her stick. Its also got a chunky concrete "lip" around the edge of the gravel which she found difficult to step over. Not sure what the purpose for that is! There are steps up into front door different levels so we needed to be cautious there but we managed. You do need a car as its fairly remote
We loved it all. Very spacious, very clean, very quiet, comfortable beds, lovely shower, all mod cons and a mini coffee machine with ground coffee was a lovely surprise 😀. Beautiful setting

United KingdomNothing negative to say - amazing place to stay! Would absolutely return :)
Lovely family stay over the bank holiday weekend! The bungalow was exceptionally clean, spacious and very well equipped! We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, comfortable beds and sofas! Great location, quiet, and right next to the forest. Mobile reception was hit and miss, the WiFi in the bungalow was excellent though so it didn’t matter. The weather was also hit and miss, we had great fun as a family playing the many board games that were there!

United KingdomMissed not having a washing machine but not really a big issue, Oven takes a little of working out but did find the instruction booklet, however neither of these would stop me booking here again. Not down to the host (but for information only) mobile phone signal hit and miss at the best of times, some may consider this a positive however!
Great property in a lovely location, nice and quiet. Dogs loved the garden and being secured and gated was brilliant, and easy to keep the property clean after returning from a muddy walk in the forest which is literally across the road. Good Wifi with no issues and plenty to watch on the TV if that's your thing. Really clean and tidy with some little extras in the kitchen. Access was easy and plenty of room to park 2 cars. Shower was excellent with plenty of hot water and heating. There were three adults in the party, plenty of room to not be under each other's feet, We had 3 dogs with us who loved it to. Local amenities are just a 10 min drive away in Cinderford - even managed to get an evening meal delivery on the first night :)

United KingdomNot much! Could sometimes feel a bit sterile- would be nice for curtains not blinds in the bedrooms and if I was being super, super picky, a log burner in the lounge. But this place is perfect for a stay.
Large open plan living, lovely shower room, comfortable beds, well equipped for cooking. Stunning garden area to picnics. Great for watching forestry works through the window (toddler super excited to see the machinery). Loved the peaceful nature of the lane, with friendly horse in field and roaming sheep each day. Easily accessible woodland paths too (followed the OS map and did woodland walks with a pram easily). Great books, TV and games and toys for children. Everything had been thought of. Hosts super kind and thoughtful, leaving porch light on as we arrived late. Would highly recommend!

United KingdomWould have appreciated a dishwasher but not really an issue. An en-suite would have made it perfect!
Very clean and much larger inside than expected. Lots of room on the large sofas for all 5 of us to relax. Lots of wildlife close to the property. MTB and walking trails in abundance. Having a bike storage shed was fab. Being able to take dogs with us was great and they even provided two dog towels!

We stayed for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend to visit family nearby in Berry Hill Beautiful bungalow in a lovely location, one of the best places we have stayed in.
