Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNo coffee making facilities in the room. But it is only a 20 second walk to the pantry where the tea and coffees are.
This is a quirky place to stay. It is clearly a (very large) house rather than a hotel. So if you are after bland, standard furnishings, layout and arrangements this is probably not the right pick for you. But if you are after character, comfort and a bit of history then Park of Drumquhassle is a great choice. Our room was lovely and clean with a fantastic view across the grounds. We saw a deer whilst sitting in bed having our morning coffee! The bathroom was great with a huge bath that was an absolute treat. Jacqueline is definitely a host with character who really looked after us whilst we were there.

Characterful and a bit quirky. Not to everyone’s taste. In a wonderful location and close to fabulous scenery.

United StatesThe bathroom was down half a flight of stairs and thus not en-suite (but it was spotlessly clean and we were the only ones who used it). Bear in mind that the charming house is over two hundred years old, so not all the rooms can have facilities. A very minor criticism when all was said and done.
The breakfast and the setting were phenomenal. The proprietor was delightful. The room was nicely furnished with antiques and the bed was most comfortable.

United StatesThis was a wonderful 200 year home in a beautiful location, The drive up to the home was amazing and the gardens were beautiful. In the morning we were offered coffee, tea, various cereals as well as a full Scottish Breakfast, The owner had a great sense of humor and was fun to talk too. My wife and I enjoy older architecture and century homes and the Park at Drumquhassle was perfect! We would recommend staying here for anyone that wants to enjoy the charm of an older Scottish home with a gracious host,

CanadaWe did have a little trouble closing our door, which may have been a user error issue but this may be something to check into in the future! Other than that I honestly cannot think of anything we didn't like!
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at this lovely property! I wasn't sure what to expect on booking but when we got there, our hostess made us feel so welcome. The property is amazing and we were able to take a walk down the driveway to take some pictures of the livestock that line the driveway on either side. The beds were super comfortable and it was just lovely to be able to experience this lovely property - it is quite a historic building that seems to have aged beautifully, I'm sure in thanks to the constant up-keep. We had some lovely chats with the other guests and read a really good chunk of our books with the stay here. The breakfast was so delicious (full English) and was prepared so quickly when we had ordered it initially as we had to leave quite quickly in the morning. I would have to loved to have stayed one more night!

SwitzerlandA warm welcome from the hostess. We really enjoyed the location with its beautiful tree-lined avenue and garden. We were able to observe some wildlife on the spacious grounds. For breakfast, Jacqueline, the hostess, asked us what we wanted and prepared it fresh. We had a few pleasant conversations with her.

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like. Fantastic location, beautiful property and an amazing hostess.
The property was in a beautiful peaceful location. The rooms were huge, beautifully furnished and well maintained. Everything was spotlessly clean and our hostess was very charming and couldn’t do enough for us. It was a fantastic welcome at a fantastic property. There was plenty of safe on site parking outside the property. Our hostess recommended a nearby pub for dinner (The Old Mill) which proved to be excellent in terms of quality of food and value. Our breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. Our hostess kindly cooked it to order when we came down and it was delicious! Whilst we were there we saw plenty of wildlife which included wild deer, pheasants and even bats which my daughter loved. I can’t recommend highly enough. We will definitely be going back!

United StatesCharming place with a charming owner. Just the long driveway to the house had beautiful scenery. Wish we could have stayed longer in the area and spent more time exploring Loch Lomond. Had a lovely dinner in Drymen, the nearest town, at the Clachan pub, which we found out afterwards is the oldest licensed pub in Scotland.
