Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomVery minor points only: some parts of the decor was a little tired and the single quilts downstairs bedroom were thin but these were minor points and didn't bother us much as the cottage was much better than we had expected. We loved it.
Location was great, 5 minute walk to the beach. Quiet street too. Spacious cottage with plenty of amenities to suit all. Kitchen was the best equipped I've experienced, loads of crockery and kitchen utensils. I made welshcakes and bolognese whilst there, the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. There were toilet rolls and soap dispensers in each of the three bathrooms, kitchen roll in the kitchen. Washing liquid and tabs for the dishwasher. Loads of space and well heated with central heating and towel rails in the bathroom. Little tip, the switch for the downstairs towel rail is in the kitchen by the toaster, central heating control in the kitchen by the coffee machine/window. Bedding plentiful and as we only used two of the rooms, we simply added a pillow if needed from one of the other bedrooms. Cottage was very clean and in a quiet area with parking in front of the french doors off road. Downstairs room complete with sofa and TV would be very handy for breakout room for families. I used this bedroom and the downstairs shower room as my own, the others used upstairs. Planning on staying again for longer next time! Best fish (v fresh) and chips at the Hook on Broadhaven front next to car park. Walk up the hill and over to Little Haven, great pubs and shellfish shop...access to coastal path to walk much further if you are able.

United KingdomNo towels at the property and had problems getting in contact for assistance. I was charged £5 per towel and when they didn't collect the money I was threatened with being reported and black listed by the lady who supplied them. I travelled 6hrs from 4am and worked until 7pm to then find we couldn't have a shower. I've never been anywhere that didn't supply towels.

United KingdomThere was nothing we disliked to be honest. Just a couple of small maintenance points - We noticed that there is water at the threshold of the living room door which possibly comes from a leak in the downstairs shower waste. It wasn’t bad but we got soggy socks! And the top spinner on the dishwasher didn’t seem to work but we had this with our one at home. We just rinsed everything!
Fantastic location and comfortable home. Kitchen was really well-equipped and clean. Loved the extra room downstairs for grown up kids. You could possibly mention to bring a hairdryer. But it is not a biggie and didn’t bother us really. I’ve got short hair!

United KingdomSome parts are a little dated and there are no towels supplied. Quite a high step into the property. Would be helpful if the number of the house was given , map indicates its further along the road!
Lovely cottage with ample space. A 2min walk from the beach. Great for a family and grandparents with a downstairs shower and toilet. Well equipped kitchen.

United KingdomWhen we first turned up. We had to climb over a load of rubbish that had been left and squeeze in by the bins to get to the key lock. That wasn't a great 1st impression. Somebody in a van did collect this, but not until later that evening This is also the first holiday let we've stayed in that didn't have loo roll in the toilets ar a pint of milk in the fridge for us on arrival. Little things I know, but no loo roll!
Location was fabulous! It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and shop. Very clean, lovely outside dining areas in both the front and back. It was a beautiful house with plenty of glasses crockery etc....

United KingdomWell, where do I start? First of all the step going into the house is too high needs to have some handrails especially if you’re old , there was an odour smell of dog yet it says no petsthe double bed has a wee stain on the mattress. The duvet cover on the double bed was out of the ark, one of single bed downstairs the sheet had blue spots on the bottom sheet , in the downstairs bedroom there was black marks on the wall the shower room downstairs the toilet older old and rusty wants going in the dustbin and the towel rail downstairs fell off the wall upstairs bathroom panel around the bath is coming away, my daughter got up next morning and gave the place a good clean and I myself found a dirty grill pan still got fat in it was not impressed. Also they could do with some new frying pans there once the bacon and sausages stick to the pan they want to go in the bin too for the price we paid we were not that impressed but we had to make the most of it in which we did do.ps the webpage picture of the outside doesn’t do it justice. It looks all clean and tidy but it’s very much overgrown with shrubs and weeds.
The place was very spacious

United KingdomNo welcome pack, giving instructions how to use things or contact numbers should anything go wrong. The heating wouldn't work so I had to contact Booking.com. The issue was sorted by the handyman who was extremely helpful. No information on the surrounding area. No complementary tea and coffee or milk which we have always received in other cottages we have visited. Charges for use of towels which we have not experienced before.
The good bits certainly out way the not so good bit. Great location, a delightful little cottage a stones throw from the beach. Very clean with plenty of space, comfortable furniture which gives you a cosy feel, so much so that we would return. 😁 Excellent service from the handyman, who was chatty and gave us some great information about the area.
