The only fault was the road. It was very busy and many vehicles speeding. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about that

The views are stunning. The property had everything you would need and more. The owner came along to see everything was ok and gave us recommendations on what beach to take the dog to and where was good for fish & chips

During winter months , a heavy curtain across inside of door would have added extra cosy appeal. But no complaints about anything

Location on the rocky foreshore gives fabulous views out to sea with abundant wildlife and little fishing boats passing by. Starry nights. A haven of relaxation.

I have to admit there was nothing we didn't like. Everything you could need for a holiday was provided. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and the sea view from the full window was excellent. It was everything we hoped it would be and more.

On the morning of our arrival the owner sent me an email with all the required information. This included the key safe number for the front door key and information with regards to the storage space underneath the accommodation and where the key to that was located in the property If required, we could store out luggage in there . It is also where the washing machine / tumble dryer and large fridge freezer for extra food storage was situated There is a small fridge with freezer compartment in the accommodation. Considering the accommodation was basically one large room it was cleverly set out with the added bonus of a small shower room / toilet incorporated. The bedroom was set at the back of the property and could be sectioned off by closing the net curtains attached to the walls (so cosy). As we have hectic lives , we wanted to go somewhere where we could do nothing except relax unwind, take in the sea air while watching the wild life and watch the world go by and that is exactly what we were able to do. The property also has a telescope and binoculars for use during your stay. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine (when it didn't rain)

Nothing it’s perfect as it is.

Love Pew with a view, Always love returning to this amazing wee fisherman’s cottage. This was our 4th visit & next year’s holiday was booked before we arrived. The scenery, wildlife - seals, dolphins, and at times orcas & basking sharks. Peace and having the sea beside you is just what you need. I love sitting watching the ever changing sea in front of you. The huge picture window , the various seating areas in the garden & in front of the cottage provides choice of perspective. Great for wildlife watching. Getting up early to watch the sunrise out of the sea is a must. Sitting by the fire pit at night watching the stars & shooting stars, and if you’re lucky the Aurora takes your breath away. Susan is an excellent host, so lovely, welcoming and nothing is a bother. I go with my mum & dog. I actually found this wee gem for the dog as she loves the water so much & I wanted a place where I could open the gate and let her run into the sea.

Two wine glasses would have been nice. Bit of traffic noise.

The cottage had pretty much everything we needed and we didn't find it cramped at all. The view is spectacular. I was just happy just to sit and stare out of the window. It's proximity to the road meant that we couldn't open the window to listen to the waves, but when the windows were closed you could hardly hear the road noise. Sue was a super helpful host.

Cosy fisherman’s cottage with spectacular sea views

It was cosy with the heating on, but the heater in the bedroom made a sort of metallic clanking noise as it heated up and cooled down. If you wanted to eat in the cottage it would have been on your lap but the kitchen did contain everything needed to cook a full meal and if it was warm enough eating on the deck would be great.

The seafront location is truly spectacular! Even in late November when the sun hit those rocks in the morning, through that massive picture window, it was amazing. It’s petite but very well converted inside and has a generous seating area and a bedroom that embraces the cute factor. I loved the fact that there was a true sense of history. The cottage dates from the 1600s when they were fisherman’s cottages and looking out at the rocks on the sea coast, from which the cottage was built, makes you think! We were there in a real cold snap and it was below zero a lot of the time but there is a decking area with furniture which I think would be fantastic in the summer. Great communication from Sue.

There was a lot of clutter in the kitchen and it made it hard to find room to prepare food. The fridge was way too small and you had to try and carefully position food in there otherwise when you opened the door it all came out. I banged my leg off the bed as the wooden post as you walked in. No access to a beach.

    The views were lovely
