Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Could do with some decaf hot drink options. Was in the attic room which would be difficult if you found stairs a problem.
Very nice owners, great location, clean & comfortable nice touches like coffee machine, wine & beer in fridge & porridge, nice biscuits.

There wasn’t anything we disliked, just exceptional.
The property was very well maintained and very well presented. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was exceptional, spotless and very comfortable. They have thought of everything that you might need including porridge pots and fruit for breakfast. Would 100% recommend them to them to anyone wanting to stay in Broadstairs.

Shower drained a bit slowly and the on/off was a bit stiff. Had to park two streets away to get the free parking as it was so busy.
Clean, great facilities, excellent location, generous free extras (drinks, snacks and breakfast). The centrepiece bath is amazing.

Everything was great!
Gorgeous room, with incredibly spacious bathroom. Comfortable, clean, and lovely, friendly hosts. The room had coffee and breakfast items, along with wine and beers and chocolate, all complimentary. The bathroom had bath salts and a bath bomb. All these extra details made our stay feel above and beyond. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Broadstairs.

I accidentally made a mistake with my booking, but Joanne responded very quickly and was extremely accommodating and kind in helping me sort it out. The accommodation itself was very comfortable, clean, and in a great location. I really appreciated the warm hospitality and smooth communication.

The Iplayer was erratic dont know why, might be my phone.
The room was nicely decorated. Had a large TV. The bed very comfortable, double glazing reduced any noise although it was very quiet at night. Shower room modern gel/shampoo/conditioner provided. Plenty of bathroom towels. Room had a fridge full of goodies including wine/beer/milk all free. Iron and ironing board included. Biscuit & fruit & tea coffee all complimentary. The parking is on street but Jo & John bent over backwards to ensure I had a space all the time. They're a lovely couple. Great place to stay for room only. Broadstairs is lovely the guest house is 5 minutes from the lovely Viking beach.

Lovely room, great location.Nice little touches such as milk, drinks and snacks left in fridge. No breakfast available but porridge pots and fruit left, which was much appreciated! Helpful host; parking space reserved on arrival and gave us information about travelling on the train to evening destination. Very quiet area and comfy bed!

Before arrival we had a code to get keys for front door entry and also for our room. The owner was on hand to greet us and was vey informative of the area though in our room there were leaflets and maps of the area. The room had everything we needed plus extras such as porrige and bananas for a quick breakfast. Also there was a kettle, fridge with bottled water, milk, other drinks, biscuits and a coffee machine with pods, an iron, ironing board and hairdryer. The bathroom had all essentials from shampoo to bath salts. The room itself was lovely with a comfy bed and both blackout and venetian blinds. The road outside was quiet outside with little or no traffic. We came by train and was only a 10 minute walk to the accommodation. We were near shops, bars, restaurants and the picturesque beach. Also, there was a bus stop just a two minute walk away that served the loop bus route to Margate and Ramsgate. Broadstairs is a perfect place for a perfect stay.

Room and facilities were superb, the complimentary items were amazing, there was nothing more you could ask for. Would not hesitate to stay here again, must be the best accommodation in Broadstairs.
