Nothing negative at all!

The staff is amazing and has great recs for the outdoors. The dorms are well thought out, bright, clean and there was a lot of space for everything I had with me. The kitchen was well equipped and clean and the common areas were cozy. The house itself was a beautiful building. I can only recommend this hostel to everyone!

Public transport is limited. I wish breakfast was included. I checked out at the normal time in the morning, but I had to stay in the lobby as there was a storm outside. I was told off for staying in the communal area after the check out time by an older looking guy. Complete disregard that I do not have a car and there’s an amber alert.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. The place was really clean, facilities were great, big kitchen and cost communal areas. Walking distance to a pub and cafe and stunning views in the surrounding areas!

Lovely hostel, great location, easy access to Snowdonia by Sherpa bus which is very convenient for exploring and also goes directly to Pen y Pass. Lovely staff. I'd be happy to stay again.

Set in a stunning location. Really friendly and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Very well kitted out for walkers, a well stocked kitchen, comfy lounges, boot room, recommendations about where to eat. We loved it!

In my short stay, I honestly can't say there was anything I didn't like.

I liked the fact that it wasn't a dormitory as I had my youngest son with me so privacy was great.

The bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable, bearing in mind most people staying are there for activities, it’s important to be able to get a comfortable nights sleep.

Very good communal areas for preparing food and socialising with lots of space. The rooms are lovely, higher end than your average hostel. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

The Rocks was excellent and I would stay there again. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, and the kitchen and dining area were spacious with lots of equipment and utensils. The reception, living room and fire pit area were comfortable for relaxing and reading. The bunk beds in the shared rooms were comfortable, and each had a light and curtain for privacy. Each bathroom was individual and the showers worked well!

Shared bathrooms can be annoying but it wasn't an issue, always expected at a hostel.

The location was perfect as it was right next to the start location of the Snowman Triathlon and it has some really nice pubs for breakfast and lunch.

A little more expensive for a hostel than I’d like but I’d stay there again.

Really nice place, beds were comfy and I liked the privacy of the pod style beds rather than open bunk beds. Kitchen was fantastically kitted for fully cooking meals and the staff were great. Fantastic location for hiking and watersports and easily accessible from the A5.

I had an amazing time at this accommodation. The facilities were top-notch and everything was incredibly clean throughout the property. It's in a beautiful and peaceful location, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The stay offered excellent value for money, especially considering the quality of the amenities and service. Speaking of which, the staff were friendly, helpful, and professional – they really made me feel welcome. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

There was a caravan directly outside our window which did make us feel a bit over looked. Not a negative, just a suggestion- the mirror in room 3 is quite high, at 5ft 2 I could only see the top of my head in it. A slightly lower one would be great. Not all bunks have curtains and they don’t shut all the way across. Only small things, certainly didn’t spoil the stay.

Very clean and well presented. Well equipped kitchen, nice communal areas. Beds comfy. Staff friendly and helpful with advice of local walks and transport. Great location & view from the patio area at the front.
