Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe actual road to it is very rough and so need to be navigated with extreme care, and the nearest shop is in Kyle of Lochalsh which is 7 miles away. The cloudy weather meant no stargazing or looking at auroral activity but that's the way it goes, unfortunately.
I absolutely loved this place!! It was very clean, very comfortable with a lovely comfortable bed and a well insulated place that warmed up very quickly. Aileen met us when we arrived and she is so lovely and friendly and very helpful. This place has a washing machine AND a tumble dryer so you can do your laundry there, which I did when I arrived. The Wi-Fi and internet coverage is superb so it is perfect for Netflix, etc for when the weather is a bit 'orrible to go out. Check out Calum's Seal Trips which leaves from the fishing harbour. Also, a couple of really good pubs and restaurants in Plockton itself.

United KingdomNot the property, the only issue was the road to the play, a little bumpy and a few holes, but that isn’t the fault of the property owners, more the local authority
5 star facility the converted barn, a lot of money has been invested in the converted barn, can’t fault it in any way, thoroughly enjoyable stay and would highly recommend to anyone….set in stunning Scottish scenery

United KingdomOur only reservation with the property was that as we are both above average size, the double bed was restrictive. We mentioned this to Aileen and she has rectified that by ordering a king size bed for delivery on 16th May - well done!
It was small but perfectly fine for a couple. It was very clean and very well equipped. The views in all directions were stunning and the village was just a short distance away. Aileen is lovely and was so helpful. Plockton is utterly lovely and convenient for trips to Skye and Torridon.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing, quiet location which is what we wanted. I guess for some a downside would be lack of facilities open at this time of year but providing you bring what you need there are plenty of facilities which ensure a great stay. clean fridge and freezer for keeping supplies until required.
Great wee place, bright, clean accommodation with everything required for a short break. Host was amazing, lots of local knowledge coming from the area. Really approachable. Will definitely return.

AustraliaNot a dislike, just a suggestion that perhaps better signage on the gate as I had to ask the neighbour where it was. Apart from that, I have nothing.
This property is a loft conversion of a small barn. It has been very well done, with a downstairs loo and laundry room. Upstairs is an open lounge, through to a small, well stocked kitchen, modern bathroom and comfortablebedroom. Everything was very clean. There were little extras like a pint of milk waiting in the fridge, tea, coffee, sugar etc plus shampoo in the bathroom. The double bed was comfortable as was other furniture. It was great for a single traveller like myself but is geared for two. The location is very secluded, up a farm track round the back of the high school but that just added to the peace and quiet. The view is great, and it's within a 5 minute drive of Plockton harbour, along with the Plockton Inn for good food of you don't fancy cooking. All in all, a very nice little self contained option if you want self catering.

United KingdomCertainly no issues that would deter us from visiting again. It can be a little tricky to find if you're arriving after dark as there are several adjacent gates and not much lighting, so best to arrive in daylight. There is a sign with the property name on it, but only visible once you've entered the correct gate.
A very quiet location with beautiful views across Loch Carron to the Applecross peninsula. Very cosy, warm property that had everything we needed for a two-night stay. We enjoyed our visit.
