Nothing - I loved the place

A real find - I was looking for a hotel with a twin bed room close to Llangorse sailing club and really lucked out. Very comfortable, homely feel and with good no nonsense food. Very impressed and can recommend

Sue was the best host you could ask for, we were made very welcome from Sue and Paddy (the dog) the moment we walked through the door. The pub serves food in the evening which was hot and very tasty, the breakfast included was exceptional, choice of cereal, fresh fruit and fruit juices. We opted for the Welsh breakfast and let's just say I hope you wake up with a big appetite. The accommodation is very quiet for a perfect night sleep. I wouldn't hesitate to book here in the future should I be hiking the Brecons again.

Breakfast was well cooked , fresh and delicious there was a lovely homely feel to the accommodation and Sue was very good at remembering what drinks we liked etc bus stop just outside made getting to brecon town easy

Charming pub/B&B. Lovely host and her adorable little dog. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of both cooked and cold options. Really enjoyed the fresh strawberries and blueberries. As it’s a couple of miles from Brecon we also had evening meals which were also very good. Very comfortable beds.

Friendly welcome & lovely dog called Paddy. Hostess went out of her way to accommodate us & provided an early breakfast too. Immaculate room & bathroom. It was wonderful to be able to return from an evening out to a warm welcome & drink from the bar.

The floor made some noice while walking on it and my partner heard it when I got up in the middle of the night for the toilet, but he would probably have woken up anywhere else as well. And it gives it that old building character feeling so I kind of liked it as well.

Lovely room, lovely people and paddy of course. I would highly recommend staying there, I had a very homely feeling and felt at ease. It’s far nicer to have a personal approach rather than an impersonal big hotel.

We really enjoyed our two night stay! Our room was so comfortable and very relaxing, the breakfast in the morning was delicious, lovely different choices for breakfast including Melon and strawberries. Sue was amazing, so kind and making sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

A gem of a pub with rooms, offering bed, breakfast and pub-food evening meals, operated single-handedly by wonderful Sue. With some encouragement from Paddy, the Jack Russell terrier. Well-appointed small bar and restaurant and lovingly-decorated bedrooms. Standard pub food fare in the evenings and a good breakfast variety, all cooked to order. And reliable wifi. And all at a very reasonable price. Thanks Sue!

Sue made us very welcome. Rooms (we had the bedroom with lounge area) were very comfortable. We stayed for two nights and had our evening meals which were delicious (particularly the pie!). Great breakfast. Home away from home. Thanks Sue.

Excellent food, dinner and breakfast. A lovely room with a comfortable sitting room which was a bonus. Very friendly hostess and lovely little dog! Ideal location only 15 mins from Hay Festival site.

Amazing staff. Who continually went above and beyond. Despite running incredibly late and arriving past the check-in time we were greeted with a smile and bundle of warmth. This continued throughout our stay.

We were made to feel like house guests. The full breakfast was excellent, and on the last morning we were leaving early (to do the parkrun in Brecon) so we were offered a packed breakfast to take with us.

Shower could have been a little more powerful but was adequate for our needs.
