Nothing really. If you like old buildings and lovely gardens in a beautiful village then this is for you.

For atmosphere it was unbeatable! It's a beautiful (very very) old manor house with amazing gardens/grounds. However, it's a bit old-fashioned and some people might find it uncomfortable by modern standards. Breakfast was a selection of good quality muesli, yoghurt, toast, fruit etc. Our stay was brilliant.

An historical treasure, acting as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area.

Whilst we didn't feel unsafe, the absence of a lock on the bedroom door was an unnecessary omission. The breakfast is a well appointed cold offering but due to the animal present in the house no hot food was provided.

This accommodation is steeped in history. We were shown around the historic part of the building by Jane, the owner, showing us the original Saxon footprint, through to the Norman Hall and then to the Manor House. Jane is very knowledgeable about the history of the house. As a guest you are integrated into the house, regularly seeing the owner who offers tea and a chat. The room is spacious and appropriate to the Manor House setting. It is very comfortable. The area itself is full of history, we strolled around the village of Nassington and then on to nearby Fotheringhay where Richard III was born and Mary Queen of Scots was executed. There is an excellent pub/restaurant in Fotheringhay called The Falcon. We also found the Glen Miller memorial at the old WWII Fighter base at nearby Kings Cliffe. The last place he played a big 'hanger concert' prior to his unfortunate death. Overall the accommodation was an excellent base to explore the immediate area.

Directions to the house were vague.

Light but pleasant with good choices for breakfast. A fascinating place with a well informed host.

Utterly charming. Jane, the owner, was the most delightful hostess. The house is of great historic interest; while maintaining its ancient character, it was very comfortable and well set up.

    Nothing to say

Beautiful manor house with a historical background and charming architectural features. It doubles up as a wedding venue. I can say that it would be quite a special occasion to have it at Prubendal Manor with the colourful and well tended gardens as the backdrop.
