We did have a long walk to our room and when we got there the key card didnt work. This was sorted straight away, but one of the replacement cards didnt work either. We had single beds, as requested, but they moved about. On the evening someone came into their room next door and put their tv on, quite loud. I know this isn't the hotel's fault, but maybe a note to say be respectful of others might have been good.

We chose this hotel, my sister and I, because we were attending my auntie's funeral and the 'wake' was being held here. Also the crematorium was within easy distance. I had asked to be in the room earlier than the 3pm check in time, and this was given. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Everything was clean and breakfast, which was included in the price, was good. Wifi was free and worked well.

Only minor thing is having a small fridge in the family rooms.

We stayed here for one night and had a wonderful experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, with a special mention to Linda, who made our stay truly memorable and was adored by our daughter. We booked the family room, which was a good size and equipped with most of the essentials. The only small improvement I’d suggest would be adding a mini-fridge for convenience. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

The reception and bar/dining area were understaffed especially given it was a bank holiday meaning long waits for drinks and to order food. Leisure club staff showed up an hour late so those of us waiting to go for a pre breakfast swim were turned away.Hotel is on a business estate which was quiet (we stayed on a Sunday) but not what we were expecting from the photos online. The bedroom and having a good night's sleep made up for the issues we had

Lovely spacious rooms with big comfortable beds, plenty of parking and nice outside space to enjoy a drink and nice weather. Good selection at breakfast and for the price we paid it was ok

Like every large old hotel it could do with a cash injection on decor

The breakfast and swimming pool were lovely. Our room was massive and very clean. Good facilities in the room. Loved the children’s goody bags and the room service food was prompt and tasty. The staff on reception were really helpful and friendly. They made sure we knew about the weddings that weekend and made menu alterations to suit the kids etc

Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel raised expectations quite high, putting out signs about cleanliness. However, when we arrived, we had to clean out other people's hair from the bath tub sink. Still water didn't flow down. It was quite a disgusting experience. It is awkward, and NOT only in the light of the lots of written signs how proud this hotel is about their cleanliness. It should be the basics not to leave the bathroom in such condition. Also, the kettle was full of limescale. The staff was helpful, they cleaned both the bath tub and the kettle. But it took time, and we had to wait for it instead of having a rest and enjoying facilities according to the purpose of our visit there. The other disappointing issue is, at the reception we were reassured the manager will contact us about these issues. We left phone number plus email address, but explained, if they will ring us same day, we might not be able to pick up the phone as we will drive back to London and the phone is our satnav. We received a phone call during driving, but couldn't answer it. We rang the hotel from London, they promised the manager will contact us. We reminded them they have our email address too. No other attempt was made to contact us since then for 6 days!

Staff was helpful. Facilities were nice.

Bathroom could do with some modernisation but it was a great size and everything was clean. My husband couldn’t find a comfortable pillow, although firm I didn’t mind them.

Good value for money for such a large and spacious room. It was a good location to visit the surrounding areas. We didn’t get the opportunity to try the facilities but great that they were if we did want to.

The bed was lopsided so i felt i was rolling to the other side and not very comfortable which made the night sleep hard.

Hotel feels welcoming, plenty of parking and Staff were very friendly, even though they made a mistake with the info given to us regarding the pool opening times they still tried to amend, apologising and updating us when it was open.

Room lacked a little storage space. Various stains on hallway carpets. Leisure facility looks tired and dated, rough around the edges. Pool changing room showers old, missing shower heads and makeshift control handles. Bushes on edge of grounds opposite tree trunk with swing had considerable litter , cans, bottles and general rubbish which has accumulated over time. It requires grounds person to make concerted effort to litter pick amongst the bushes as it’s an eyesore at a venue being used for weddings - embarrassing. General manager should do a walkabout with relevant staff to see for themselves.

Good location, friendly staff, quality breakfast. Clean and tidy room- standard double.

Shower leaked water onto the floor even with the shower head in the downward location. A social event found loud children screaming outside our room until after 11pm. Some parts of the hotel looking a bit tired and dated BUT pricing is competitive and good value. Personally I find the food a bit bland, but others may like it. I would still stay here again.

Location. Bed comfy. Reception staff friendly. Room had plenty of space. Car park has plenty of spaces. Competitive pricing.

Wedding party I booked for were charged for their rooms when it had already been paid by myself on booking.com. This has since been resolved. Another guest was told her luggage was missing- she then had to sleep and also go for breakfast in the same clothes that she wore for the wedding (only to be told when checking out that her luggage had been found in the place she’d left it with staff the previous day when checking in!) Unacceptable! The hotel evening staff on duty at that time were extremely unhelpful and refused to assist in finding her luggage.

Easy access/close vicinity to nearby wedding venue.

We had to book ln early, due to a funeral At the crematory nearby. Your booking in time is 1500hrs and the funeral was taking place at 1530hrs. When I made the booking I explained the situation and was told not a problem they will leave a note on my booking. When we arrived I arrived I was asked to pay a further £20.00 per room so I paid a further £40.00 to book ln. At the beginning I was so pleased that you understood the situation and was very disappointed on arrival. If you are going to charge to book in early just add it to the booking fee. This is the reason I will not be visiting again .

The area was very quiet and green

There isn’t enough wardrobe space, hooks, drawers or storage for clothes in your rooms. We were going to a wedding and there was no where to unpack properly. We don’t like living out of a suitcase, so this was disappointing!
