There was barely enough shower gel left in the dispenser for one shower.

The room was comfortable, the staff were friendly and the food was tasty

The room did not have any complimentary water or biscuits. The room and bathroom had very low lighting which I found difficult for shaving etc. also the bathroom had a spider web complete with resident spider in corner {note to cleaner}. Unfortunately the we had to wait almost an hour for our dinner to be served (due to coach party of 40) being present at dinner in separate room. We were not told this until we started to complain about time taken to serve our meal. The Manager was very apologetic saying he was not aware of this until last minute. However, we pointed out that we should have been warned before we sat down. Everybody got a free drink but it did not compensate for a spoiled evening particularly as it was our Anniversary.

the room was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel was modern and well furnished and decorated to a good standard. Staff were accommodating and friendly.

Bloody Car park. I have had two tickets from the private firm that looks after it even though I thought I had filled the form in at reception. They did however cancel it. You do have to go back to them(hotel) and they were helpful and apologised for the mistake. As usual the letter from the car park people was its usual unpleasant self saying they had been trying to get in touch when had not- court action etc,etc ……..still all ended well thanks to the hotel staff !

All good, good room, good bar and good food.

Wi-Fi was non existent in the room in spite of the advertising literature. Room booked was on 3rd floor with NO LIFT! Fortunately the helpful staff found us a ground floor alternative.

Breakfast was great.Staff were also very helpful.

No aircon in room & quilt too thick for summer. No safe in room. Room quite dark. Particularly need brighter lights in bathroom for purposes of putting on makeup/contact lenses. Bottom sheet on bed not large enough to tuck under mattress so had to smooth out every time I turned over in the night! Veggie Full English came with black pudding!!😳

    Nicely decorated

Didn’t dislike anything about the hotel, perhaps a bin in the bathroom, a smart tv, but that’s nit-picking.

Staff lovely, especially the breakfast staff working really hard on a busy bank holiday Monday. Room was a good size, light & airy, clean. Location was lovely, in the countryside, lots of national trust houses nearby, 20 mins drive to Guildford.

We stayed in one of the unrefurbished rooms which was ok but it was quite tired and needed updating. Also bathroom wasn't as clean as you would like. There were long hairs on the floor and a partially used soap bar in the shower.

Location was good, public areas like the reception, bar and restaurant were very nice. Room was a good size and beds were comfortable. All on all good value for money

Nothing to dislike really (but) they were still refurbishing some of the rooms so you could hear some drilling on occasion.

Great hotel, recently refurbished, in a lovely (country) area. Good breakfast/restaurant and bar area. Felt very comfortable staying there as a solo traveller. You do need a car to stay here.

A floor lamp/lamp in the room would have been great! The WiFi was really poor in our room.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff had good understanding of the menu which meant choosing a gluten free meal was easy. At breakfast, they cooked gluten free sausages for me, and they had gluten free bread too. The rooms were spacious, clean and really smart. Beds were comfy and shower was superb!

menu was over priced, kitchen was slow and even though restaurant had plenty of seating wad told we'd have to sit in the bar, there were no tables left, so we went down the road for a Chinese.
