United KingdomThe bedroom was a little tired but clean. Bathroom had bath with overhead shower but would lend itself to benefit from a nice modern walk in shower.
Beautiful location set in its own grounds with a nice tree lined drive to the hotel. Hotel is spacious, welcoming and clean. Local history captured within the Norman Cornish lounge (Spennymoor artist -my home town)

We got down to breakfast at 9am Sunday and there was no fruit left and the pastries were dry after being sat out and the hot breakfast had been sat out a while so was over cooked.

United KingdomNot a great selection of spirits in the bars, expected a little more ‘top shelf’ choices. Room wasn’t spotless, and there was a cigarette burn in the curtains. I think the price I paid was fair but everything seemed like an optional extra, was given the choice to pay an extra £100 to use a different swimming pool?
Breakfast was lovely, good selection of foods. Bed was really comfy. Steam room was nice.
