I believe the bathroom could’ve been slightly cleaner - I noticed areas around the bath (room 5) did not look swept/mopped as there were marks and hairs on the floor, also was the case next to the toilet. Overall the room still felt clean though, however just wanted to let you know!

The only thing that was missing was the ability to store luggage - however the Information Centre folk are super lovely and can store your luggage for a small fee.

I had an exceptional 3 night stay at the Penn - would recommend to anyone. Conveniently located a short walk from Windermere station and the Main road of Windermere (+ buses to Bowness etc).

The location was excellent - close to town with parking. The bed was also super comfy, and the bath was really special with views out to the town centre. The ability to self-check in and get into the room without the need for a physical key card was also a novelty and worked very well!

The location is very convenient : near the center of Windermere with lake district shops, supermarkets, coffee places for breakfast, restaurants... The only thing is that it can get noisy on the main road during traffic hours. On the other hand, it is super quiet during the night, to the point that I heard an owl 😄.

Absolutely charming. Very cosy, comfy, everything you need to crash into fluffy bedsheets after a day strolling around the lakes and mountains. The details of the room are carefully chosen. You just feel at home here. The staff is very available and flexible.

They didn’t tell you they offer a turn down service which I think should always be optional and guests should be aware of someone else coming into the room. Room was left unlocked after cleaner left which did not make us feel very secure.

Guests booked in rooms 1, 2 or 3 should make sure they enter by the door by the car park. We did not do this, and had to carry our suitcases up the stairs and then down a different flight of stairs to arrive at room 3

The bathroom was very small and awkward to move around at times; we booked the cheapest room but would spend more for a bigger room if we stayed here again. It was a bit noisy in the morning as we could hear other guests coming in and out of their rooms as their doors slammed shut.

Great location and lovely decor. The radio on in the room and the tea, coffee and fudge were lovely touches.

I’ve taken 2 points off from giving a 10 score. 1- although having a fridge is great it is right next to the bed and as you know fridges kick in at any times and make quite a noise which it did through the night a few times, if your a deep sleeper this won’t matter but if your a light sleeper like me this may wake you. Having a fridge in the room is perfect but maybe move away from the bed as it was right by my head. 2. Although a very beautiful room comfy bed fab shower etc, I felt the room was just a tad too small. If bigger the fridge could be in a different spot and maybe a chair to sit on and a desk. Also a full length mirror would have been fab.

The decor was beautiful and it had everything you need. It was very easy to access with clear instructions. The bed was super comfy and the shower was lovely (powerful & hot)

The host was very kind and accommodating to begin with. And oh my, the place was gorgeous! My room was very cozy, clean to the tiniest details, and so beautiful. I also love how the radio was playing when I went in, it just set the mood. Overall, it was such a pleasant stay - I'd say one of the best places I've been in! Plus, the location is just perfect from the train station and all the shops. I felt very safe as well during my stay. A totally recommendable place to stay in, you can really feel how the host/s value this place so much! (heartsssss)

We missed storage space in the bathroom: no shelves to put your toiletry bag on. The bathroom fan was also quite loud and automated, it was unclear how we could turn this off when we wanted to sleep. There's also no aircon, so take that into consideration when booking in summer.

We loved the property: it's gorgeous and the rooms are beautifully decorated. Very (!) comfy beds, very clean, lovely location. Hosts aren't at the property, but respond quickly and kindly via text message. Great breakfast options within a 5 minute walk.
