A comfortable stay in a superb location—perfect for exploring Windermere and the surrounding Lake District villages. The room was thoughtfully set up, and the incredibly warm hospitality from the team really stood out. A good choice for an overnight stay.

The Penn made our 10 year anniversary extra special by providing us a with a bottle of processco and a little note! I thoroughly enjoyed soaking in the bath with all the lovely toiletries! It felt like I was in a spa. Highly recommend!

Maybe some decaf tea or coffee and a milk alternative if I'm being picky!

Such a lovely place which is clearly loved and cared for! Very easy check in and communication with owners. Great location.

I believe the bathroom could’ve been slightly cleaner - I noticed areas around the bath (room 5) did not look swept/mopped as there were marks and hairs on the floor, also was the case next to the toilet. Overall the room still felt clean though, however just wanted to let you know!

the small room is pretty small. its great for single occupancy for a few days, maybe could be challenging for two people

Location was excellent. Rooms were comfortable and clean. There was a coffee machine in the room.

Fire alarm went off at night in one of the rooms and someone only responded in the morning despite being alerted. It's a 4 star property yet rooms weren't cleaned everyday. Rooms are smaller than in the pictures.

I had an exceptional 3 night stay at the Penn - would recommend to anyone. Conveniently located a short walk from Windermere station and the Main road of Windermere (+ buses to Bowness etc).

The only thing that was missing was the ability to store luggage - however the Information Centre folk are super lovely and can store your luggage for a small fee.

Comfy and warm

Parking was a nightmare

The location was excellent - close to town with parking. The bed was also super comfy, and the bath was really special with views out to the town centre. The ability to self-check in and get into the room without the need for a physical key card was also a novelty and worked very well!

We got an attic room and it was really small, my partner who is 5’11 had his head hit when moving around the room. After cleaning bathroom on second day they left the leftover toilet paper cardboard thing on our bed The bedsheets were not changed/cleaned

If while booking we were told it was attic room, I would have not booked it. It was so hot and small room for two people

Nothing really

The room is dark, very noisy during all night (the road is very busy) old windows (no double glazing). The TV is set in front of the window (I have never seen that !) The bed was not very comfortable. Self-checking with a code that is sent. The room was very expensive I am wondering why....
