TV was not working. Not enough towels. When asked, the staff member said they are waiting for their laundry man to bring back the washed towels. Unfortunately, he did not arrive till we leave. Better to provide a fan. It is hot inside the room in the evening.

Location close to the beach. Walking distance to Durdle Door. Free Wi-Fi with acceptable speed. Breakfast included. Providing information in advance about parking permit. It saved £45. The hotel does not have onsite parking for gests.

The whole team at. Bishop's cottage were lovely. We received the warmest welcome and made to feel completely at home. The location cannot be beaten in Lulworth, absolutely fantastic and the pool was wonderful too! Highly recommend!!

The room needs some TLC and it smelled of damp. It has great potential to be really amazing.

The location was amazing and Philip was great. He welcomed us with a smile and showed us the facilities. The pool room had the most amazing view and the bed was quite comfortable.

The bathroom wasn't super clean and the room had a musty smell. There was a bar (positive) but the prices were more than I had expected.

Lovely family run BnB that my friend and I booked last minute. Beautiful location, tasty breakfast, large and comfortable room and a games room with honesty bar. The family are absolutely lovely and more than willing to provide advice about the local area, they also run one of the water activities businesses for rental hire.

The facilities in the room felt outdated and slightly neglected, and seems like there wasn’t much attention to detail when it came to cleaning. The bathroom in the pool room lodge had no extractor fan and the window had no handle so it couldn’t be opened, that left a lot of moisture buildup.

The staff were amazing and polite, made a very homely and welcoming atmosphere. The food was superb.

The property is not well-maintained. The sofa in our room was broken, as was one of the blinds which could not be used. The shower leaked badly from the connection pipe.

My room was not clean with mold on the curtains. There was so much limescale in the kettle that it was unusable. Their website warned that the room was no frills but I expected it to be clean.

The location is ideal. The views from the pool room are exceptional. Staff are all very friendly. We were welcomed and made to feel at home. Games room and honestly bar is a great touch. Will definitely be back.

Perfect location right over Lulworth cove. Philip’s place was a unique delight in every way from the awesome bar packed with quirky games to the beautiful pool overlooking the cove. The house is full of character and soul.

It has its quirks, but that’s what makes it special. If you like banal, clinical minimalism, maybe this isn’t the place for you.

Maybe the best place I’ve ever stayed. Magical in all respects, from the spacious room with views over to the cliffs, the swimming pool that looks out over the bay, the hearty breakfast and welcoming generous hosts. If you’re looking for a hotel experience that will live long in the memory, here it is.

There was a cat on the breakfast table (my girlfriend is allergic). Honesty bar instead of actual bar. Crisp crumbs on the plate in our room (not ours). Someone else’s dirty laundry in one of the draws. Someone’s hair all over the shower. Shower drain blocked, so nearly floods if you’re in the shower any longer than 5 mins. Only 1 bath towel, and it was covered in someone’s makeup. Only 2 out of 5 bulbs work in the bathroom.

Most of the staff were friendly.

this place requires a huge cash investment, externally and grounds tardy, overgrown, pool (albeit when we stayed it was 19 degrees and still warm, it was full of dead leaves and debris). I choose this property as I’m happy to swim in a clean pool in October, but both pool and grounds were in a time capsule; old weathered, overgrown and just not taken care of, old boots and furniture needed heaps of attention and garden with dug out dog holes, importantly we booked not realising that they had closed down for the season, when booking on Booking.com there was no indication that the hotel had closed and only had one member of staff to facilitate everything. we booked two nights , the Pool House was offered which we thought would be amazing with sunset views, it was clean and comfortable but no service, couldn’t find anyone to get another toilet roll, replace tea/coffee tray, internet on and off, although we were offered a room to use better service. everywhere needs so much money spent to restore, old, dark and Smokey in breakfast room as staff smoke inside Bar room which was closed but backed into breakfast room. This is a family run hotel and the website draws you in, but, and a big but here, it doesn’t look anything like photos. Again a huge cash investment to restore. I won’t mention staff, bless him Mr T is a jolly fellow, but considering we were the only guests, and as a couple we ordered identical breakfasts (high are not complimentary, but as stated on their website, including in price, everything was burnt apart from toast and eggs. we were served by …… in stained T shirt and beach wear. day 2. - worse, we sat in a dark room, waiting for chef who didn’t appear, cleaner had to find him! only to be met with same Chef wearing same T shirt as yesterday, old clothes that he had obviously slept in late, hence we waited 30 minutes in dark. We decided to have breakfast at another establishment a few doors down and ask for a decision from bill.

Website pictures and reviews were misleading. Place was dated and run down. Beds were uncomfortable. Wifi was very slow and patchy.facilities were lacking.
