The air con in our room did not seem to work very well and you could not open any windows.

We stayed as a family with two children and our dog. The hotel was beautifully decorated and facilities were excellent. Food was also very good along with the location which was quiet and peaceful but not far form the Porth Bay beach. View over the cliffs were also spectacular.

Everything was really good generally but our kids are a bit older and said that their beds were quite hard (room 220) and so they didn’t sleep well. The double bed was absolutely fine.

Lovely decor, clean and bright. Recently refurbished to a high standard. Great sea views from our room. Very dog friendly. Nice pool and great gym.

The attached restaurant felt understaffed during our stay - service was still warm and friendly but food was quite slow. The set up was a bit more AirBnB while the price was very much in the hotel range - for that price I would have liked a turndown service, restocking on toilet paper, fresh towels etc during our stay. The lack of staffed reception area (although you could always get hold of someone if needed) meant it was a very hands off experience, which some may like, but I always enjoy a smile and a welcome as I go out or return of a day - a very small thing though, all in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.

Great design, lots of space in room and a separate bedroom for little one - so rare but so welcome when on holiday with children! The swimming pool was excellent and spotlessly clean. Wonderful location, a short walk along the coast path to the beautiful Watergate Bay. Cafe and restaurant both served great food and drinks. The children’s activities in the garden were a real hit with our 4 year old.

The only one downside was noise from other people. The floor board and walls are very thin.

Absolutely amazing from check in to leaving. We was greeted with full information and a warm welcome. Our room was very spacious with everything you need. Check out was 10an but we didn’t want leave Cornwall till later but was still allowed use of the pool and shower facilities which I thought was very nice.

Honestly the most perfect place for us to stay overnight. We had the dog with us and everyone was so accommodating We had the best time exploring the beaches and this place really had everything covered to make our stay perfect. Would definitely come back again in the future. We need more places like this!!! ♥️

Cafe is closed in the evening. Food and service in the attached restaurant are very mediocre but there is no other option nearby. Newquay town centre is too far to walk if you have young children. I expected more for the money. No capsule coffee machine or bluetooth speaker in the room. Rooms only serviced every 8 days. You have to take your rubbish to the bins and do the washing up before you leave.

Comfortable room. Very good facilities for children (pool, playroom, playground, nature trail, maze). Very good food and coffee from the cafe. Good location. Porth Beach and Watergate Bay are walkable.

The hotel is fabulous - we would just love to visit for a day - if we aren’t able to stay overnight - so a locals day pass where we can use the facilities and eat in the cafe or restaurant would be beneficial.

Easy to park, Staff were welcoming, facilities were great and exceptionably clean. Swimming pool, jacuzzi and changing area is fabulous. Room was extremely clean, well designed, comfortable bed, and easy to relax and cook in. Breakfast we had in the cafe downstairs, lovely quality, good prices and great service. We checked out and then used the pool again before we left. We’re a local couple, both self employed and chose to try here over our regular one night getaway on the other side of the bay! We’ve already rebooked to come back!

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like — everything was great. If I had to suggest one improvement, adding a sauna and steam room to the swimming pool area would make the experience even better.

The concept of having a studio flat within a hotel is fantastic. The apartment was thoughtfully equipped with everything one might need, making the stay both convenient and comfortable.

The room was really big and with high ceilings. The view was amazing and you could watch the sunset from the window. The bed was very comfortable. There is a coastal walk you can do just over the road from the property.

Unfortunately no elevators, so, you ll carry your kids and luggage. We knew upfront, but still weird for such a nice and seemingly new venue.

If you plan to stay for more than 2 days, you will have to take care of cleaning your room, toilet paper, garbage bags, dishwasher tablets, washing towels in the common laundry room where there are 2 washing machines for the entire hotel complex. Or for an additional fee, they can do it all for you.

Gorgeous view from the window, friendly staff always happy to help or advise, wonderful pool for both children and adults, restaurant and cafe on site, private kitchen in the room to cook for yourself, parking, nice playground and playroom, laundry room, tennis courts.

I arrived 10 minutes before check-in and was told the room was not ready, so I would have to wait, but it was ready for exactly the check-in time, which I found a bit strange. After my visit, I also relent that the price of the hotel was quite a lot for 2 nights, considering I was visiting friends and did not have time to use the facilities. I think it would be worth having a booking option without the facilities as it's not always possible for guests to use these and can be considered wasted money.

The hotel, location, and view were amazing. I saw in another review that the pictures did not do the view justice, and I couldn't agree more. The facilities offered were more than other hotels I had stayed in. Overall, I had a great visit.

Perfect place for a mini break, perfect location for Boardmasters. The best pastries and coffee for breakfast in the cafe! Lovely pool and do welcoming to our family and dog. We will definitely be back, staff were so friendly and helpful.
