Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe caravan itself was clean. The beds/ bedding weren’t the most comfortable. I did notice the listing stated that they use hospital style duvets/pillows for hygiene which makes total sense but they aren’t the most comfortable. There is no essentials included, which is stated on the listing but bear in mind that includes a bath mat. Luckily I had a spare towel to use during our stay. The caravan is in a stunning location with amazing views but there are no local supermarkets. We travelled into Barmouth for a day trip (30 mins away) which was nice and managed to find an Iceland and Co op but didn’t manage to find another larger supermarket during our stay, so if you’re planning on visiting… pack the essentials otherwise you will be spending a fortune in the small shops. Luckily we packed lots of food/essentials.
The property was in a nice location, it was lovely to be able to walk to the beach so quickly and even though we are in October we managed to have a couple of hours on the beach, wrapped up in our coats & wellies! The decking area was lovely, we didn’t use this due to the weather but I’m sure in the Summer it would be great! The on-site bar/restaurant was great for the kids. With being there over Halloween there was fancy dress and parties for the kids with entertainment which they loved! The swimming pool / changing rooms were sparkling clean which was nice. The showers were also really good at the pool. Stunning views around the site and the beach is gorgeous.

United KingdomUnfortunately due to poor weather conditions prior to our stay the grass next to the caravan was not suitable for me to park my car (no fault of the owner!). Although there was ample parking a short walk away. I was however able to unload the car on a gravelled area at the back of the caravan. The decking was lovely, and had fab furniture available. Whilst there is a gate, please be aware that very small dogs may be able to escape under it….my very small mini dachshund could easily escape if we didn’t keep an eye on her. The on-site restaurant requires pre-booking for dine in and takeaway (the signs in the reception states it’s advisable not compulsory!). We turned up one evening and the restaurant/ bar was quiet (there were a lot of tables empty) however the staff behind the bar were a little rude and said they couldn’t accommodate us. Luckily we had enough supplies to cook an evening meal at the caravan. This may be a problem with no shop or pub / restaurant close by. We did eat in the restaurant later on in our stay, and they offer simple pub grub, which was fine and portion sizes good, but I wasn’t too impressed with the service. Beds / duvets and pillows were a little uncomfortable and perhaps could be upgraded.
The host was excellent and I could not fault. I had a few questions before our stay and she responded promptly. We loved the close proximity to the beach, which was brilliant for dog walking. The site was really family friendly, and the kids really enjoyed the on site indoor swimming pool, outdoor playground and arcade. The lady who attends the on-site reception / pool is an absolute star! My son is autistic, and she was very accommodating, providing me with advice and a telephone number to call to check how busy the pool is, so to time our swim to better suit my son. The caravan was clean (my only gripe was that the decking hadn’t been swept prior our stay). Bed linen was spotlessly clean, but the duvet and pillows were the type that is Waterproof / plastic feel, so this caused my autistic son some issues due to sensory problems. We loved the 20min costal road to Tywyn and Aberdyfi. Very pretty views along the road and good amenities at these towns.

United KingdomWe happened to be there during storm Noa, so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful decking and spent most days inside caravan and went out for a walk in between the storm. The caravan was brilliant, but felt the main site facilities let the site down.I did find the opening hours for the pool to be very inconvenient as didn't open till 10am and last admission was 3.45pm, Wednesday only open at 12pm till 3.45pm so felt if we wanted to use it, we would have to spend half our day waiting around the site for a swim. The pool was very cold. So we used it once. The shop inside the reception was tiny and didn't have much on shelves. The rubbish bin was all the way outside the entrance, so that's very inconvenient. For the area, if you like a quiet place to stay with a private beach, then this is perfect. We travelled to all villages within an hour of driving and found the best day we had with shops, cafe and beach was Aberystwyth which was an hour drive. It's very pricey, though. There was a pub down the road called Penrhyn bar and grill, which was lovely. We had the best chippy in Barmouth, which was called Cambrian Coast, traditional fish and chips. There is a Co op and Iceland there too for shopping. We had issues getting eggs. There was none!
The caravan was beautiful and very spacious for a family with dogs. The decking was lovely, too. There were books for kids in drawers, which i thought was a nice touch. The shower was the best shower we've had on a holiday. Minute walk to private beach. Plenty of wardrobe space in main bedroom.

United KingdomThe only negative are the beds are a little uncomfortable. It wouldn't put me off staying again but I'd recommend bringing a mattress topper.
The caravan was very homely , spotlessly clean, well equipped and the decking area with a gate is perfect for keeping dogs and small children safe. The site has great facilities and is in a beautiful location. All very clean throughout.

United KingdomFor us we felt like we was out if the way for location but we've never been to Wales so we soon learnt that you have to drive miles any location your in. We had some lovely days out but it comes with a lot of driving.
Beautiful chalet very clean loved the decking area. Everything you need to cook, clean. Great host very friendly and always stays in touch. It was nice we was able to take our dog with us as well. The kids loved the pool on site and walking down to the beach on a evening. Lovely friendly neighbours as well.

United KingdomTowels provided would be a nice touch but normal for caravan holidays. The swimming pool hours are quite short and restrictive. The campsite is in quite an isolated spot and it does take longer than you might expect to get anywhere and shop options in the local towns are limited. This is a positive in many ways but may be a surprise for town and city dwellers.
The caravan has everything you need, lots of storage and little touches like the coffee machine and hooks and shelves in useful places, and the decking is great. The swimming pool is bigger than it looks in the photos and not busy whilst were there. The campsite is right on the coast with stunning views and whilst the beach is stoney, there's nice sandy beaches nearby.
