Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Arab EmiratesThe conservatory became quite warm during the day, so a suggestion would be to install some shades or blinds.
We loved the location and the space the property had to offer. The hosts were very good at communicating and left a lovely welcome pack for us. The property provided us with the perfect base for us to explore the local area.

United KingdomHouse rules around dogs are perhaps understandably restrictive, making this both “dog friendly” yet somewhat stressful if you need to constantly monitor exactly where your dog is. No dogs on sofas. Sofas everywhere. I’d think it perfect if all the sofas had covers to protect them if you bring a dog. As it was we tried to make ours stay in the provided bed or on our lap or the floor. Tricky! Good isolation of garden - truly dog safe - and one door stopped him exploring upstairs so that was great.
There are lovely views from the well appointed large living room with conservatory. There are good outside features of superior quality. The fittings and fixtures are tasteful, generous and cover pretty much all requirements of a family group. There is a short walk- admittedly past a large holiday park- to the beach which is Sandy and has interesting history. There is a large garden. Generous hosts with very open and helpful communication.

United KingdomThe walk uphill back from town. But without that you would not get the view.
The house had lots of room and the garden was beautiful with a fantastic view. It was also enclosed and secure for my little dogs.

United KingdomFrom the very beginning, Bindu was a great host and communicative ahead of our stay. She provided some lovely treats for us (and our dog) on arrival and, as it was a special birthday for one of our party, made the welcome even more special for us. The house itself is in a stunning location with great views. Being at the end of the lane means its lovely and quiet. The interior is lovely and really gives you a luxurious but relaxed feel during your stay. The enclosed garden and outdoor shower made it absolutely perfect for our young and lively dog. Great pub and Chinese restaurant on the beach front. Lovely easy access to the beach and coastal path. We made use of the bbq and outdoor space one night as well. All in all, our stay couldn't have been more perfect and we will almost certainly be back to stay again!

United KingdomPendine was a beautiful experience, the local beach and the cove and the caves are actually unlike anything ie ever seen before. The house itself is amazing, lovely shower, amazing garden and conveniently out of the way of everything while still being close to town. It's perfect for a family, it's perfect for a group of friends, it was a perfect stay. The living room was amazing too spacious and plenty of space. The conservatory would be great and warm in the day time. The microwave and oven are cool and high tech. Honestly i can't complain, i had a great time, I recommend it to anyone, thank you bindu

United KingdomWe had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality. The owner went above and beyond, welcomed us with drinks and thoughtful gifts to celebrate our brother-in laws birthday- such a lovely personal touch that made our stay ever more special & memorable. The cottage was spotless and very clean and tidy and incredibly well equipped with everything we needed - a real home away from home. The BBQ facilities were great and made our evening more enjoyable One of the biggest highlights was the location - Pendine beach was just metres away and the view from the cottage was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to that scenery each morning was unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday , peaceful surroundings, stunning views, all the comforts you could wish and a host who truly cares. Highly highly recommend this little gem

United StatesWe made our own train travel arrangements from Cardiff Airport, which turned out to be much longer than expected with no taxi or Uber available at Whitland Railway Station. Perhaps suggestions for visitors not arriving by car could be offered. Showers were a bit slippery. Non-skid mats would be helpful.
These are multiple areas throughout the living level in which to relax, all with great views of the garden and the sea. The young ones loved the garden, swings included. The outdoor shower with warm water was a nice luxury. The kitchen was well equipped.

United KingdomMinor points only! A little disappointed there isn't a bath in either of the bathrooms, the kids aren't a fan of the shower and we had to order a non slip mat. The outdoor steps down to the garden were too steep/spaced out for our toddlers, but the hosts were very open to our suggestion to add a second, lower handrail. To get 10/10 and to make fully child proof, the property could do with some removeable travel stair gates to use on the internal stairs.
The property sits at the top of a quiet lane with great views down to the beach and plenty of parking / turning space. It was approx 7 mins walk down and 10 mins back uphill. The garden is spacious and well planted. There is an outdoor BBQ area (although weather precluded us using it!), and when we asked for a hose to fill out paddling pool, one was delivered. The bedrooms are comfy and well proportioned, particularly the master, which also has the best views. The living room is well stocked with games and books and there are lots of sofas and chairs to sit on. The conservatory area is a nice dining area with additional seating. Wifi is quick and local supermarkets deliver. The kitchen was well stocked with a spacious fridge/freezer. We appreciated the welcome pack. Beach is lovely, tide has long fetch, so sometimes water a long way out, but that exposes nice rock pools and more space to play! Very clean with free waste bags and grabbers to use to collect rubbish if needed. Lifeguards present and flags to identify swimming areas. Shops rent out surf and body boards and wetsuits if required. The house also has a warm outdoor shower which is great for de-sanding! We visited nearby castles, Carmarthen town is only 20 mins away. Plenty rainy day things to do.

United KingdomHaving to come home!! Will certainly recommend your beautiful home to friends and family.
The property location and sea views were beautiful. Such a treat having stunning views from all the rooms in the house. It was an excellent size with a lovely big dining table - ideal for family meals and our games /quiz night. The downstairs layout worked perfectly for our gathering as we were able to all be together in either the kitchen/dining room /conservatory area or the spacious lounge. The garden was really lovely - we especially liked the outdoor shower to hose down the dogs after our beach walks! The host responded promptly to messages and was very helpful recommending walks and places to eat during our stay. The Welcome Pack she sent before our arrival was extensive - which was good for pre-planning our activities. In addition to all this there were thoughtful touches in the house that made our stay so special. Thank you so much for everything.
