It is sad that there is nowhere on the island to get a meal but not the fault of Sea View and we went to the islands for the scenery and the wildlife, that we found plenty of, not gastronomy.

The views were tremendous. The bedroom was a good size, well furnished and the bed very comfortable. The guest lounge was also very comfortable with lovely views and storage space for guests to keep food both in and out of the fridge. The microwave coupled with the great shop next-door meant we could eat reasonably well despite the complete lack of eating places on Yell.

Homely. Loved the guest lounge and been able to have somewhere sit other than my room. The full cooked breakfast in the morning was spot on and definitely set me up for the day. Located next to a shop and petrol pump was a bonus.

The Wifi in the room was intermittent, but we were on Yell. May be a WiFi extender in the room might help.

Friendly Welcoming staff, good breakfast, with well organised facilities in the lounge. There was a great view from the lounge. The bed's were comfortable and the property felt clean, well cared for and well maintained.

The accommodation surpassed my expectations. It was very clean, well furnished and what a view ! Andy and Rachel are very welcoming, helpful and available. They have informed me prior to my arrival about of the closing time of the nearest shop which in Yell is very important as there is not so much options eat out in the evening. But it was well explained a kettle, microwave and dishware are available and a fridge aswell. You can brought your own food in the guest dinning room/loung. There is free food like tea, coffee etc. there is a few parking slot on site but if not available. The guest room is very comfy with TV and the sea view for the breakfast in the morning is wonderful. The room si very cute and tastefully decorated. Beds are very very comfy, I slept like on a cloud. The bathroom was very clean with soap and hot towels. the room as a sea view, wardrobe, commode. The accommodation is very very very calm, room with seaview. You can see the little wild bunnies and the chickens in the garden. Last but not least the scottish cooked breakfast is wonderful, lovely cooked and really delicious. What a wonderful way to start your day with the sea view. It was a magical stay. Thank you again Rachel and Andy for my stay.

So glad we decided to stay on Yell, because we found this wonderful B&B. It doesn't matter which room you have - the fabulous sea view from the comfortable guest lounge gives this place its name. So helpful to have access to a fridge, microwave and kettle, given the current problems with finding places to eat out on the island and the amazing Aywick Shop (worth a visit even if you don't think you need to buy anything!) is just next door. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were a delight - nothing was too much trouble, they just wanted us to enjoy our visit. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was very nice, but it was described as located in Ulsta; it isn't! Postcode is no help. What would help is to state that the property is right next to the Aywick Shop, in Aywick. Both the shop and the B&B are shown on Google maps and the shop is also signposted.

Breakfast was exceptional. Proprietors were delightful and helpful. Room was larger than I expected and very clean and comfortable. I could happily have stayed longer.

No sign post from the main road, just look for Aywick General Store. There is no restaurant or pub near Aywick, be well prepared or buy any ready to eat food at the store next door. Store is open till 8pm. There s no kitchen facility at the B n B, no chance to cook pasta.

Very peaceful place. Zero security problem, no pollution. Host are really helpful, Andrew can help where to watch puffins in Shetland. General shop is just next door.

Lovely view of the sea from our room. Host very helpful and breakfast very good. Location is remote, so come prepared. Shop close by but check opening and closing times if you need supplies.

Limited ability to cook our own meals. Unfortunately, during our stay in September there were no restaurants or cafes open on Yell.

Rachel and Andy were lovely hosts. We had a wonderful cooked breakfast each morning. Great base to explore Yell and Unst. Beautiful coastal walks and wildlife.

Would love to see some extra toiletries in the bathroom like shampoo but this seems to be the same in a lot of b&bs in the uk these days!!

We loved having the living room with beautiful views for us to use, plus microwave and fridge as there are no cafes etc on Yell.

I think the price is a little above what I would expect for the area, but not crazy. I also recognize that we visited during the peak of tourist season which likely bumped up the price a bit. Of course, tourist season in Yell is still very quiet and we encountered very few people most of the time.

When you visit the Shetland Islands, it is a good idea to spend at least a couple of days up in the Northern Islands of Unst and Yell. These are beautiful and very different from the lower islands, such as around Lerwick. We had a wonderful experience on Yell and this is a quiet and safe place to spend some time. The view from the house are beautiful and peaceful. What a great opportunity to rest and be at peace! The house is in great condition and clean. There is a large common room downstairs to use in addition to your upstairs bedroom. There is no lift so you will have a few stairs. The house is divided in a way so there is great privacy between the guests and the family and we always felt comfortable while at the home. The family that own the home are super helpful and friendly and the breakfast we had was a delicious full Scottish breakfast. I think this trip to Yell was an important part of our overall Shetland adventure and worth a couple of nights if possible. The roads on Yell and much of Shetland are single track, but are in good condition, and as long as you are not in a hurry you will enjoy the drive.

Everything was great, no negative comments

Lovely accommodation in a peaceful location. Hosts are great very helpful and kind. Everything spotless, clean and well maintained. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
