We booked a room in the building to the left (101). Despite it being a lot for our stay, honestly the room does need an update. Its dark and carpet was stained, bathroom light dodgy etc. Restaurant and bar staff great, reception a bit of a hit or miss. Woman with black hair and glasses sat and watched us with no expression trying to get into the side door in the morning, but discovered it was locked. When we got in and walked by her, there was no acknowledgement or hint that it opens at a certain time. Usual story with the old guys in the changing room who are members shaving in the sinks and showers, quite off putting.

Returning couple although this time with a baby, location and staff on the whole good.

Tired in some areas. Dining area felt cramped. Order for drinks wrong and waited for a considerable time from order to delivery. Evening meal order wrong however kept what was delivered and manager took 50% off that one meal and offered a complimentary drink.

Location is lovely, room was spacious and bathroom massive and modern.

I booked dinner and was told the Orangery Restaurant was closed for refurbishment and we had to dine in the Aura Bar. In fact there were guests dining in the Orangery. I had made my booking a month before my stay. Food was good for dinner but service was very slow.

Some rooms a little tired & dated & could use some refurbishing, but think this may well already be underway.

Fantastic location. Friendly & helpful staff (especially Kirsty who goes above & beyond to assist in customer care & Fiona on reception)! Food in both the Orangery restaurant & the Aura bar are excellent. Grounds & scenery are wonderful.

There was a pungent smell (sewage) from 10pm till 8am. Staff were friendly but there appeared to be a lot of new staff and they weren’t fully up to speed. Eg in the restaurant we weren’t asked if we wanted a 2nd drink or told what the soup of the day was. In the bar got G & T served jn a wine glass with no lemon by a barman, and then got it in a globe glass with lemon and straws and ice by a different barman.

Lovely views. Rooms Nicely decorated and clean. Spa facilities were good. Friendly staff.

When we where there, some renovation work was being done , started at 9-00am until 5-00pm , it didn’t really bother me but I heard some people complaining, the hotel could have informed me ,

It was a pleasant stay , rooms where ok some a bit dated , bed was excellent, toilet was nice with plenty of toiletries, staff where very polite and helpful, leisure facilities where good, location was good next to the beach, parking was ideal, food was excellent a lot of variety as was breakfast,

Leisure changing inadequate and small Room 107 - the worst room in hotel. Everyone walks past your room and constant noise feom surrounding passing people or wafer thin walls. If staying in the courtyard. Do not get this room. Get a high floor.

Mens changing room at the pool is quite small and we had to wait on people getting changed for a space. At busy time changing room could have been cleaned a little more frequently, esp with children present.

Nice large rooms in the Courtyard Kilbride, I would recommend if you like a larger room. They are not in the main hotel but are just adjacent and under covered walkways. Excellent meal in the Orangery Restaurant and a very nice breakfast. Staff were very pleasant.

Room was boiling hot even with window open. Pool and jacuzzi were cold and no loungers to chill.

the view from the room was spoilt with a massive hole in the ground ready for the soa extension. having to order and carry drinks from the bar to the patio outside.

The only complaint I had was that the room was absolutely roasting, even with cooler temperatures outside. The thermostat was down, but it was stifling. We stayed as a family of five and we didn't sleep very well as a result.

Beautiful location, right on the beach. Sit out and have a coffee while breathing in the fantastic views. Food was good, staff were very friendly. We went for a dip in the lovely pool and had dinner in the bar in the evening.

The room I had was in the Argyll suite, rooms are of a good size but in much need of renovation. The Aura bar was ok, cider was off and was told we had to take a bottle instead, then someone else came in a got a pint of cider!!! Prosecco is severed from a measure, not good, transferring to the glass had a lot of waste, strawberry in your glass is only for wedding party!! I expect that as standard from this type of hotel. After meals we couldn’t sit in the orangery for a few drinks, but people had had finished their meals could, just a few very odd rules. Steam room wasn’t working properly. A few issues to say the least

The main property is lovely & Spacious. Receptionist was very helpful.

Slight musty smell in room. Some prices bit on the high side for food and drinks.

Sea views swimming pool sauna etc plenty of parking great food good service great friendly staff. Fridge in room with waters soaps tea biscuits etc replenished.
