Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Lots of thoughtful goodies in the room, including a small bottle of whisky for a wee dram before bed. Friendly and helpful host. Good breakfast.

Nothing, everything was great.
The location was great, at the top of the high street just around the bend. Parking was available outside the property for free. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The bed was comfortable, there was a TV in the room with all the usual channels. Free Wi-Fi was included in the price as was the breakfast. There were a variety of teas/coffees etc available along with biscuits and a small decanter with whiskey and a chocolate. We were very impressed. The breakfast was excellent, every kind of cereal, toast, spread, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal bars, porridge were on offer along with a a full cooked breakfast. Drinks included, fresh filtered coffee, tea, herbals, fruit juice and milk.

Everything was very good , the room had a good size , private bathroom with toilet ( maybe a bit more pressure for the water ) Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent ( thank you for the gluten free products 🤗 ) The hosts are very nice and professional 😊 Thank you we will definitely be back

Absolutely nothing!
Lovely welcome from Lisa and Ross. Room spacious with lots of extras. Central location and good recommendation for dinner. Breakfast choice amazingly.

The cold breakfast selection was not good! A couple of cereals, toast you have to make yourself, you also have to make your own tea just in a cup as no pots were available. There were also a couple of muffins in packets, I couldn’t see anything else, some fruit and croissants would have been nice! It was very hot in the room so we asked for a fan, but they told us they only had one but it wasn’t Pat tested so we couldn’t have it! Our room although very nice has a window right on the pavement so a lot of noise from ppl passing by and traffic, also we felt we couldn’t open the window as anyone passing could have climbed in!
We didn’t have a cooked breakfast so can’t comment on that. The room was lovely, clean and well furnished, there were also a few treats which was a lovely thought. The b&B itself was only a few minutes walk from the town centre which was really handy! We were welcomed by the lady who owned the b&B and she was very nice and helpful.

Very convenient for town centre and easy parking right outside. We needed a ground floor room as we had a wheelchair and room 1 is just inside so easy to get to.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean with a very nice, modern en suite. Breakfast was excellent. Location was good. Easy, free parking. Our host, Lisa, was welcoming and helpful. An excellent B and B!

Great location for our need on the LEJOG. The owners were so helpful with the bike storage and earlier than scheduled. Great breakfast which fortified the cyclist for the day ahead. A great nights stop and great recommendation for food at the Star restaurant.

The room was fantastic with lots of extras like a small decanter of whisky and one of sherry juice and chocolate in the fridge the bed was very comfortable the breakfast was great with a great choice of cereal fresh fruit coffee and teas

It was close to the centre and we were on motorcycles they have a garage round the back safe parking got to give them warning if you need the garage easily fits 2 gs1250 in well worth having the breakfast in the morning it’s very good 👍
