Self catering. Location very good, easy to travel to many places. Facilities were separate from the main caravan site so gave the feeling of seclusion, even though it is on the camping site. Lovely flowers and picnic bench. Out door kitchen good. Fire pit and barbeque were very good.

Road traffic noise from main road

Such a lovely little place, super cozy and has everything you need. Jay, the owner, is absolutely amazing,so friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We had the best time! I totally recommend the Shepherds Hut if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy some quiet, intimate time away from the busy city life.

Lots of thought has gone into it. Amenities are excellent, well laid out and really lovely staff (Jay).

All good - maybe bring an eyemask and ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

Beautiful little Shepherds Hut - brand new so immaculate throughout and felt really cosy. The Kitchen area outside was a bit odd but worked really well. I took some bread and butter as I understood there was only a toaster and microwave available, but there was all manner of hotplates, griddles, saucepans etc. I wish I had taken some bacon and eggs and the fire pit had a neat adjustable rack you could have cooked off if you wanted an impromptu BBQ. Stayed in mid October and the weather was reasonably good, a few light showers but we were able to sit outside around the fire pit for most of the evening, radio on, bottle of vino staring at the stars. Suited us down to the ground. If you want a small base for a couple of nights while you are out during the day, walking or sightseeing then you couldn't really ask for more. The place, location, staff, chickens and coffee were all great!

If the weather was bad you would have a limited experience, but that is only because we felt the fire pit was so relaxing, it is hard to see how it would be without it. There is the Kitchen area that is undercover if you wanted to eat away from the hut and the hut itself is very cosy but obviously small so not many internal options. But that is the charm of the place.
