Good base for Portree activities but not particularly close to any major attraction site. Not much of a view, had the impression from the other reviews that would be able to overlook a loch/river. Skye in general is too expensive for what it is and so is this stay.

Host was very helpful, did our washing very promptly and occasionally checked if everything was fine. Lot of space for a small family. Parking was no problem too. Loved the wild rabbits always hanging around as did our son!

Hosts were friendly people and check in was easy. The host also run the B&B on the same property. Nice view of surrounding farmland. Even some bunnies and sheep every morning. Bathrooms and kitchens were very clean.

Hammish was an excellent host! The facilities were as advertised and the views were immaculate. Location is great; right in the middle of everything on Skye. We would stay here again!

Location was great in the middle of Skye. The hosts were world travelers who had great stories to tell and were extremely nice. The room was great, roomy, clean and in good condition. We were two mins from the former golf club restaurant with great views and food. There were rabbits and sheep with babies everywhere. The breakfasts were the best. Completely local fresh food that we have never gotten in the states. Park at the door.

Loved our little cottage in Skeabost. Was so comfortable, well appointed, with every detail thought of. Very conveniently located with easy drives to all major sights on Skye. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend! Hamish and his partner are the perfect hosts.

The facilities were overstated. No restaurants close enough to walk to, so stop at the Coop Foods in Portree. No laundry or BBQ. Hamish said he would review and correct. Although we had a car, venturing out after dark or after a glass of wine with dinner is not something I would recommend. Roads are narrow, and fog rolled in. Taxi was expensive.

Hamish is a wonderful host. Our stay was a perfect place to venture out from. The property sits high on the hill with huge views to enjoy. Everything nice and comfortable. .

The hosts were amazing, great recommendations for what to see and where to eat, as well as taking care of everything so that we could just focus on sightseeing and relaxing. As an example, other places have strict checkout rules (strip bed, do dishes, etc), whereas here they take care of all of that for you, and they really just want you to have a great time exploring this amazing corner of the world. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. The location is great - 10 minutes by car to Portree and central to most of the must see attractions on Isle of Skye.

Well appointed with everything we needed for cooking. Hamish greeted us when we arrived and was really welcoming. I also moved the time we were going to arrive at the last minute and he accommodated us. The beds are firm and very comfortable. It’s a quiet location. Well heated and insulated, with the ability to open windows if too hot. Lovely hot showers.

Hamish, the host, was very hospitable and made our stay. Facilities were very comfortable for 3 adults. The unit had 2 ensuites which was ideal for us.

I would have liked a few more pots and pans for cooking - especially a large pot for pasta and a large salad bowl. But the basics are definitely covered.

The lodging was very comfortable, including the beds, and the location was great. Hamish, our host, was very friendly and helpful in advising us where to visit, where to eat, etc.

Hamish was very friendly. The cottage was perfect for 4 of us. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck in front of the main house and enjoying the view.

Only minor suggestion would be to perhaps change the couch to be a bit larger, but it's perfectly fine.

Hamish is so friendly and kind! He welcomed us upon arrival and there is easy parking in front of the cottage. The self catering accomodation is so nice - 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms- both with walk in showers. There is everything you could need in the flat and the views are spectacular. It is so easy to get around the top of the island from his location.

Overpriced, but maybe because there was a half marathon going on the isle of Skye at the same time. The mattress was too hard for my taste.

We loved staying there! Beautiful location. Two bathrooms. Plenty of parking on site. Very clean. Super nice property owner. Only 5 min drive to downtown Portree.

Hamish and his wife were the hosts extrordianire, just super in every way. The first evening Hamish came to our cottage and we had a marvelous conversation about our lives, sharing a drink as we talked. Each morning he asked and we got a pot of coffee to have with the breakfast food we had brought with us. We got our clothes cleaned, too. All in all it was fabulous. We highly recommend Skeebost Self Catering to anyone visiting Skye.
